Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before going to a social engagement and it served the purpose well. We got the avocado and mango rolls and the vegetarian rolls. Both selections were good and I'd have no problem getting them again. The things that pull this off the 5 start mark for me are:

The atmosphere is just weird - they had TVs on but all that was playing was a constant advertisement for the Dish Network (it would have been far better to just turn the TVs off) and there were employee cell phones going off enough to be distracting. As a gluten free eater, I was nervous over their seeming lack of knowledge in this area and NO markers on the menu (and no separate menu) to let one know what could be made gluten free. It did turn out fine but I really don't like gambling with whether or not I'm going to have a gluten reaction when I'm on my way to an event. Our appetizer arrived after our meal was on the table which was really only a big deal to me because it was just salted edamame beans which were ordered at least 15 minutes before our food and I know they take literally 3 minutes to cook. We were brought the wrong check and had to wait around until the waiter was back in sight to get the correct one. They weren't busy at all so the wait for service and food seemed excessive.

So if I were in the area and needed to grab a bite - and time wasn't a big factor, I'd go in again. I did enjoy the food. But, if I were looking for a pleasurable dining experience, this wouldn't...

Good sushi at a great price, with a price around $3-4 at any time they're open for either 2 pieces sushi or 3 pieces of sashimi. They have fish that other places in the area do not usually have, including red snapper, stripped bass, and sea urchin. The lunch and dinner Chinese menu items are well made, and served hot with large portions being the norm.

The Chinese people who own this restaurant and work here will act typical city Chinese, at times rude and arrogant. Don't let this put you off from eating here, or better yet, ordering takeout. You have the option of ordering online at their website, with your food ready within 20 minutes. With time and friendliness shown to these people, perhaps they can learn to act friendly, and pull themselves up to a standard level of customer service expected by the American consumer. A tag line that jumps into my mind for this place is, "Bad attitude?; Great food!"; But if you let them know they make it right sometimes with yelling in Chinese at...

Lol I eat so much sushi it’s actually not normal, including during my 11 trips to Japan last year. My roommate here used to eat here often but I always passed because the prices were too low and you know... “you get what you pay for”. I was lazy tonight and ordered online for pickup and man, what a great choice I made. SO IMPRESSED. Fresh tuna (red!!!) fresh salmon (bright orange!) cheap miso soup (under $2!!!!) and fast service. Showed up on time and it was just being wrapped up. The woman behind the counter was so animated and friendly and funny, I feel so stupid spending $100 on sushi in Boulder and waiting 1 hour for it last night 😂 This place is 8 minutes from my crib and I am going back for more sushi and to try all their other fusion-y dishes now that I know how great the quality is. 10/10 I just ate every drop of my order in no time. Thank you for the great meal,...

Not the best Chinese food by any stretch. Service is worse. What kind of place doesn’t have wonton strips or rice noodles or something crispy to put on the hot and sour soup? This place. What kind of place charges you 25 cents for the bag they put your order in? This place. What kind of place hands you your order and then when asked for chopsticks says they are in the bag, only to arrive back home to open up with no chopsticks in sight? This place. What kind of place would I never go back to? This place! I wish I didn’t leave a tip but it was an online order. Save your money and go get some better food somewhere else with workers who care if you return. They surely don’t at Bao.

Bao Asian Fusion is a fantastic restaurant located in Broomfield Colorado. The food is extremely fresh and the presentation is beautiful. Every meal I've ever had here is fantastic. The veggies and proteins are always excellent. Our server was Collin, and he is very knowledgeable about the menu of offerings. His service was excellent, and I hope we have him as a server again. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. The portion size was large, it was absolutely delicious. They offer soup with the entrees which is a nice touch. Bao always has a steady business of customers and I can see why. Love this place!!

I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe Chef Special for pick up last Friday night. It comes with 18 pcs, salmon, tuna, and assorted white fish. The presentation was nice and I liked the cucumber slices that came with it. The tuna was great, the salmon was good, but the white fish (which was one type, not assorted as described) was RANCID AND TASTED MOLDY. That part was inedible. I like eating the sashimi one at a time and didn't realize that the white fish was bad until the end. Luckily I did not get food poisoning. BEWARE of Bao - they will serve you spoiled food.
