Blossom Bar St Matthews — Restaurant in Louisville

My family has been in Louisville many years and I have spent lots of time visiting. My parents were down the street on Hycliffe for 20+ years but recently moved into a patio home. Rainbow Blossom is in a great location and inside is Blossom Bar where delicious smoothies are made. They have all types of smoothies - fruit based, veggie based, add Ons etc. I got the Cherry Pie and added almond butter - $11 total which I noticed a few reviews mentioned. Let me say as someone who was southern raised... things in the south (Louisville included) are SUPER CHEAP! An $11 smoothie in Tahoe (California/Nevada) - where I have been living the past 8 years is unheard of. It’s a large portion and it’s basically a meal... you pay for better ingredients and supporting small businesses is worth an extra $1 or two. I usually enjoy coming here with my family. We shop here on a regular basis to support this local business. When you call ahead an order since no one answers the phone and you arrived before they closed you realize the answer is they didn't check messages and are closing anyway since they could care less. You have to ask why a place like this that relies upon a loyal customer base would allow poor service like this. I buy smoothies often from blossom bar and all of the workers are always very personable and on top of things. My favorite employee is Maggie— she always seems to care about the customers and makes an effort to keep genuine conversation. My Uncle Barry goes to blossom bar frequently as well and absolutely loves the service. Additionally, the smoothies are like no other in Louisville and it’s location is extremely convenient (centrally located so it’s easy to grab a smoothie on the go). If you can’t tell, I. LOVE....
