Worst dining experience I've had in years. We went to Kentucky Kingdom and wanted to go to a chain restaurant, so we knew the kids would eat. Our waitress was new and didn't know the menu very well. Being new isn't a huge deal, but calling out a customer like it is their fault IS a big deal. My son and I ordered the same meal - a steak dinner from the regular menu. I didn't realize it when we ordered, but there was another menu item with the same name under the lighter options. Our original meal was a steak on a bed of asparagus with fries. The lighter option wa aa steak with a fresco salad. When the meals came, I saw they were incorrect, but thought it may have been our fault because I may have said it wrong. I saw the original and lighter option and addressed the issue with the waitress stating that our order was wrong. When I explained the mix up, her response was, "That's what popped up on the computer when I put the order in." I still explained that it was wrong and her response was, "How do?" Like I was wrong. I then gave her the menu to figure it out since I was, apparently, wrong. After this mix up, (I was a little rude after the how-so comment) she was seemingly flustered and did not come back to our table at all. No refills on drinks. Did not clear our table at all. We had to start stacking items in the middle of our table to make room for food. We didn't get a check and I stopped the waitress to ask her if we were supposed to pay at the kiosk at the table. She said "you can," and then turned to another customer. My husband started to pay because I was over dealing with the meal - we are all quite frustrated, but more amused at her horrible service. He reviewed the check and saw that it was incorrect. He addressed it with the waitress who said she was going to fix it in the computer. My husband said, "Well, I'm paying right now, so it's gotta be fixed right now. Can I just get the paper check?" She fixed it and we reviewed the meals, paid and left ASAP. SIDE NOTE: During the meal, my husband wanted another beer, but we weren't getting service at all. He went to the bar and tried to get a drink that way. He ended up giving up and came back...
Read moreI have never been to chilis a day in my life. When I went in there The service was really good. There was a new host at the door. She didn’t know if I could sit at a Booth table because I had to get a highchair for my son so she sat us next to the cold windows, she was new so I wasn’t complaining because I understand what it’s like to be working in a new environment like that. Then my waitress comes up to us, she places us somewhere different now she was great after I got my food. It looked great, but it did not taste great the cilantro tasted like dish soap it was the most nastiest thing I have ever tasted in my life. I don’t know what they were doing with that cilantro, but it wasn’t good. The shrimp wasn’t good either tasted like they put it in cilantro before the grilled it…and the rice wasn’t good either it had too much seasoning. My son had grilled chicken fries and fruit which he ate so that was good, but as far as my food, the fajita meal, it was not good at all. The tortillas were fine the chicken was good too. Not even the cheesecake and I can make cheesecake.😐 for cheesecake to be as soft and moist as it was that is, not how cheesecake should taste especially if you’re charging $10.30 per slice. It was definitely dissatisfying and the strawberry purée that goes on top that was nasty too 😤. You know I was very dissatisfied with the food that I had received today day and my tab was $41.50 of course I tipped the waitress because she was great but the food was nasty and the manager she came up to me politely, but you can tell sometimes when someone’s being politely disrespectful and she said that she thought that the cilantro tasted good. I had no comment.. So I moved all of that cilantro away from my chicken and just ate the chicken and the tortilla and cheese. I just don’t recommend the fajita to anybody because it is not good. I wasted my money for a meal that I didn’t even eat I didn’t even eat the cheesecake. The best part of my meal was the strawberry lemonade so guys if you’re gonna go here do not get the...
Read moreI went there today with a friend and first we waited about 5 minutes to get seated and no one ever came to seat us. Then we had to find our own seat. It took about 10 minutes for someone to even ask if we had been helped. They are not very busy by the way only 2 tables occupied through the whole restaurant. Food got to us pretty quickly which is a lot of food great. So the part of our meal was the bottomless salsa and chips.
I asked the manager after waiting for my waitress to come check on us for about 15 minutes if we could get lids for the salsa and queso and more chips. He tells the waitress that we need more lids and the tells our waitress that we could not have extra chips because we had already packed our uneaten food to go.
The managers name was Ron, he was so adamant about not giving us these chips that he actually stood across the restaurant watching our waitress who was really sweet by the way. I honestly think it was discrimination because I seen others in the restaurant with bags full of chips and didn’t understand why we were being treated that way. My friend and I were very kind and patient and that was my first time eating at that location.
I normally go to hikes lane. I live in a different county and thankfully I don’t live near the poplar level location it was the closest one to me after running an errand. That manager should be an ashamed of hisself worrying about some chips after we paid and tipped our waitress nicely.
I will never go back to this location even if I have to go way out of my way to go to another location, I will. This is really sad and ridiculous and I had to share because I was so shocked at how my friend and I was treated earlier this afternoon. We just left and decided we will never be back at the location and would share...
