There’s something primal about sitting down with your sons and tearing into a plate of meat from all corners of the earth. Game in Louisville isn’t some greasy burger joint slinging frozen patties—no, this is a temple to the carnivorous curious. Bison, Kangaroo, Yak, Antelope—burgers crafted from animals that have roamed landscapes foreign and familiar. We did it right—four burgers, quartered, so that each bite was a passport stamp, an invitation to something outside the ordinary. The kitchen understands that the thrill of the unknown is best balanced by craft, precision, and damn good beer. The tap list holds its own, the perfect companion to bold flavors and reckless indulgence. Yes, it’s expensive. But what’s the price of a story? Of sitting across from your sons and watching them discover something new? Some meals are about more than sustainable, they’re about shared moments, fleeting but unforgettable. Game delivers exactly that. Five stars, no hesitation.

The flavors at Game are SO GOOD. I also love the amount of options for types of game and the fact that you can choose to get a meatball sampler of different game if you want to taste a bunch of different ones! We tried the frog legs one time and they were good, just super messy. This time we tried the scotch eggs and wow, those were amazing! So far my favorite meat has been the kangaroo! They seem to run out of Alpaca a lot so don’t be surprised if they don’t have it when you go. It’s good though and that’s probably why. The service is pretty good there and the food doesn’t usually take very long to get to you. The parking situation is a bit tough, but you can also park across the street by the brick wall and cross the street to get to Game if needed. I typically go weeknights just due to how busy they get! They are small so the seating is limited, but I haven’t had any problems on weeknights finding a table! This is a great spot!

Anytime I am on my travels, I am always looking for some exotic foods. I love to try and eat meats that are hard to fine and this place are exactly what I was looking for. Their entire menu has all kinds of gamy items that are not easy to find, but the rarest of all was the kangaroo! Certainly not something I can manage to eat all the time, but as a once in a while I don’t it was amazing. I had a rabbit meatball on the side and was very happy with my meal. The kangaroo burger was delicious and the sauce on it was fantastic. It was a pretty good size and I left the restaurant relatively full. I will say that the side items of sweet potatoes was small so I’d recommend going for the basket instead if you are hungry. Not only was the meal good, but the service is pretty great as well. Isaac was great with the server and very helpful on my touristy Kentucky questions. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

Food was very good, well what we got to order. Everything started out normal but after awhile our food wasn't coming out. Then the waitress said sorry I didn't get your meatballs in but I ordered you a burger. She didn't even ask before she changed our order and just decided what we would get. She kept coming up with excuses that it was the cooks birthday and they're really busy in the kitchen and can't make anymore meatballs. Meanwhile the restaurant is half capacity at 6:30 on a saturday and I'm watching plates of meatballs coming out of the kitchen. We agreed to the burger combo she picked for us because she really wasn't given us an option but finally agreed to give us meatballs togo. Eventually our food came out, half wasn't what we ordered and what did come out as we order was missing sides and sauces. She eventually brought the bill and she added the meal we didn't choose. My girlfriend did end up eating the burger only because we didn't think we would recieve anything else to eat. When we asked to have it removed the waitress became very rude and said "you ate it anyways." Again we didn't even get to choose our dinner and when we tried, she would come up with multiple excuses why. "Its the cooks birthday and they're really busy." "I've just had anxiety all day." This is word for word what the waitress said to us. If its the cooks birthday and they don't want to be there thats on them, take the day off. As a customer I dont want to hear about her anxiety problems either. Its work, grow up. Stop acting like an entitled brat. Eventually she went back to adjust the check you could hear her yelling and cussing about us. Food was great and the restaurant is a very neat place but extremely toxic waitress. Not someone that wouldn't be...

My name is Howard Richardson and I been cooking my entire life. I tried to visit on way back to my place. When I asked the bartender if it is always this hot, she said yes. I then told her I was a chef and funny I can't stand the heat. I said I have been like this just recently and was sure why. Then I asked the owner if there was a cooler place here. He said no and I said the bartender said there was. I told him I really want to stay but it's too hot. I was trying to catch the game on TV just for a minute. Then he said I can't stand at the bar and I need to leave. So I cant stand at the bar. He said you can not, I asked why I cant. He just said no. He asked me if had a car and he thought I was drunk apparently and I wasn't. So next time a person says they are not being able to be in heat now, they need to believe it. The bartender knew I said that and I was just trying to give him some business for my first time. I told him I ran a restaurant in New Orleans, so he understood where I was coming from. I never give him a chance again and actually the last time I was there I said to myself I won't come back because the food was dry and not most like game should be. Gameis tricky to cook and can be overcooked easily and dry out. I was trying to eat some meatballs and give them some business. To great food and good luck in the future. I want all...

The place is very casual dining with a bar. Limited seating, all wood. So don't plan on being comfortable and go early to secure a spot because they don't take reservations. The food is all sandwiches and à la carte. The menu includes a variety of meets such as bison, beef, rabbit, duck, camel, kangaroo, wild boar, ... I ordered a dry aged beef sandwich ($16), a basket of fries, equivalent of large fries elsewhere ($5) and a glass of water. Oh, tip 22% automatically added to the bill. If your party is six or more people, it will be added automatically as a service charge and then you get the final receipt asking for additional tip! If you don't specify, the bread, it will be a soft white brioche. Admittedly, my sandwich was delicious and everyone in my party enjoyed the taste of their food. One of my party members wanted to order a second sandwich because his hunger was not completely satisfied. He ordered kangaroo sandwich $18 and a 5-pc basket of asperagus ($5) and a beverage ($2), initially. Adding another sandwich did not seem reasonable. As mentioned earlier, the food is delicious and the service was good but quite pricey for the type of...
