Midnight Munchies Food Truck — Restaurant in Louisville

We heard about this late night food truck from TikTok. My husband and I drove roughly 30 minutes to find this place. My husband ordered the Sriracha Honey wings and I ordered Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi. The food came out within a reasonable time roughly 15 minutes or so costing roughly $51 with tip. We sat in our vehicle right outside the food truck to try the food because we were starving, just coming off a long flight back to Louisville. The food smelled amazing; however upon my husband's first bite of the wings he noticed a funny taste and immediately discharged the chicken from his mouth. He asked me to try another wing from the batch thinking maybe his taste buds were off. I tried a bite from a different wing from the batch and immediately ejected the chicken as well. The chicken tasted rancid and was extremely unpleasant. As I tasted the Hibachi I noticed the chicken and shrimp was piping hot which was a good thing but the rice and vegetables were room temp cold. I stopped eating, afraid to take another bite of rice & veggies that could've possibly been sitting too long. I didn't want to risk a foodborne illness. My husband's stomach started feeling queezy and he immediately took the food back and explained to the cook that the food didn't taste right and that the food had made him feel ill. Amazing food! My wife and I bought food here tonight. I got steak and shrimp hibachi, she got the steak and chicken hibachi, and we got the loaded steak fries. It was all very good! Those fries are the best loaded fries I've ever had, no exaggeration. When we got there, we placed our order and there was a bit of confusion and I think they forgot to have us pay because of it. At the time I thought they would just have me pay when the food was ready.... so when they told us it was ready, they handed it to me but didn't put the order in for payment. So I told them I hadn't paid yet. So I paid and then started walking away and they yelled for me and gave me a free desert. They gave us a large piece of cheesecake with strawberry, blueberries and whipped cream on top. It was the best cheesecake I've ever had! I’m not from Louisville, but I was just stopping by to see some friends. On my way back, I got hungry and saw this place it looked amazing, so we decided to try the steak burrito with loaded fries and the lamb chop hibachi. Let me just say, the wait was a little long, but it was well worth it. I’m not sure, but you might be able to call in an order.

I’ve had a lot of lamb in my life and had never heard of lamb hibachi before—it was fantastic! The lamb was perfectly cooked, the rice was great (though a little basic; I think fried rice would’ve been better), and there were just a small amount of vegetables. Still, it was fire.

As for the steak burrito, the steak was perfectly cooked, saucy, and both sides were toasted. I will definitely be back and am so glad I gave this a try!
