I waited months for this place to open because it's been a long time since this neighborhood had a dedicated ice cream shop! It was too cold for ice cream just yet, so we tried some of the pastries. I wish they had more food selections, but I thought it was good so far. I tried a mandazi, a chocolate croissant, and took a bite of my partner's lemon cake. The mandazi and the cake were my favorite. I also had a mangonada, which I was suprised to see on the menu!

They've got some very traditional African / Somali products in there to look at and purchase. They're continually working on the space making it even better for the community at Large. My favorite is the Somali tea! I ride my bike there so I bring my own container that I have in my cup holder on my Mountain bike. I pour the hot Somali tea over ice! It is so freaking fantastic!
The sambusa is definitely all that. We have it when we go in as well. They've got some tasty treats and I've had the slice of chocolate cake that was so creamy and delicious! I'm waiting for the lemon cake to...
