I ordered a "build your own" bowl with fried rice, kimchi, tofu, broccoli, and avocado topped with yum yum sauce and scallions. The food was pretty tasty! The veggies seemed fresh. The broccoli had a yummy sesame flavor, the kimchi was delightfully tangy and spicy, and the tofu was a great texture. The fried rice was a bit dry/bland but the toppings made up for it mostly. I give 3 stars because the ambience/vibe of the place was stark and actually kind of uncomfortable. No art, no menu posted, very empty, and staff seemed apathetic and glued to their phones. I didn't even know what the restaurant was called until I looked it up after leaving, because it isn't posted anywhere inside or outside of the place. For now, I'll order to-go to continue to support. But it has the feeling of a place that opened a couple months too soon, before they were really ready to present a brand or hospitality. I will come back again in a few months to leave another review possibly once it's more established. There is a shortage of good restaurants in the south end, so I'm really rooting for it to eventually thrive!

We stopped here while we were driving through Kentucky to back home in Alabama. It wasn’t clear at first on how to order, but once we figured it out, we decided to order from Fresh Out of the Box and Str8 Drop Wings. We ordered the chicken fried rice, a half order of kimchi loaded fries, and The Flying Pig chicken sandwich. While we waited for our food, I decided to get a dessert from the cheesecake place. We went with the Biscoff cheesecake. We only had to wait for about 5-10 minutes for our food to be ready and brought to our table. It was all steaming hot and very fresh. The chicken fried rice was such a huge portion. If the instructions on how to order had been more clear or if someone had greeted us at the door, the experience would have definitely been a 5/5. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Whenever we drive through Kentucky again, we will be back hungry for more.

The Straeatery is a fantastic spot for food lovers! I recently had a great experience there, enjoying the variety of food vendors available. I decided to try the fried rice bowl with spicy pork, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and satisfying. I also sampled the garlic noodle dish, which was equally impressive with its rich flavors. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with plenty of seating to accommodate large parties, making it a great place for gatherings. Additionally, street parking was convenient, which is always a plus. Overall, The Straeatery offers a delightful culinary experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore diverse and tasty food options!

My family & I have been coming to this place for years. Most of what’s on the featured venues menu’s, you can’t get anywhere else in town.

Ginger salad? Anko Sushi has the BEST in town.

Smoked Sweet Thai Chili wings? Str8 Drop. Tony is the man, he puts his heart & soul into his service & the quality he serves us with.

Spam Masubi? Fresh out the box. Dung has thoughtfully offered the public with his unique family recipes you won’t find anywhere else in town (except the Logan Street Market).

We’ve got 7 children in our household, & anytime we go out to eat, The StrEatery has something for ALL 9 OF US & none of us have to eat the same thing. Every item on the menu is reasonably priced.

There is also plenty of seating in-house for it to be busy, but still have big long tables to seat a large party like ours.

We’re always treated with the utmost respect, our food is always brought to our table with a smile.

My children will remember this...
