Thang-Long — Local services in Louisville

I’ve been to this grocery 3 times, & wanted to like it, but there were just too many things. There’s always something in their “fresh” produce section that has mold on it. It’s crammed in there. And honestly kind of dirty all around. But they have great selection.

1st experience was the best. Nothing too crazy. Didn’t love that most items didn’t have a price listed. I did purchased chili oil that was already expired. I didn’t realize it until months later though lol.

2nd experience I went later in the day, about 45 minutes before they closed and they already had half of the lights turned off - weird and unwelcoming. I did however get some of the best Thai green curry paste I’ve ever had from a store there.

3rd experience is why I’ll never be back. When you enter the store and head to the right, they had a very sus & dirty looking deep freezer. That day there was a literal ROACH crawling all over it (see video). And if there’s one roach - there’s hundreds more. I would be afraid to open that deep freezer. On the same side of the store in the back freezers there was also a Lemon-Lime Flavored Gatorade in there that contained something brown. It was sketchy for sure.

Like I said at the beginning of the review - it’s crammed in this place & yet there was constantly mop buckets with mops in them with stagnant dirty water in them in the middle of the isles. Boxes all over the floor that make it difficult to move around in the already tight isles. I wanted this to be my place to go, but after the roaches…it’s...

This Asian mom and pop's grocery/convenient store has been in existence for what seems like a century! Things on the inside are packed into a small space and the layout has not been changed since the day they had opened it in the early 90s. Know exactly what you need to buy when you walk in, else, you could get lost in isles.
