Sharing my experience so others know to be more specific when ordering: Today at lunch I order a spicy margarita. From reading the menu I knew there were 2 options "$8 or $12." When our server comes to take our order and I reply "spicy margarita" he asks "medium or large?" I responded "medium" of course thinking, regular $8. When he delivers my drink it's in a rather large goblet-like glass. I stopped him and said "whoa, this seems large, I wanted the medium." He responds, "yes, that's the medium." I asked, "there's one bigger than this?" He affirms that there is. So okay, I let it go. Of course when the bill comes I'm charged for a "grande Margarita $12" 🙄 I ask him again, "I thought you said this was the medium, why was I charged for a large?" He says "you weren't, that's how it is in our system for our medium." Immediately I felt deceived after trying twice to confirm I wanted the smaller of the two drinks. Dissatisfied with his response, I pay and leave. When I got home I double-checked the menu online and of course my memory was correct: there are only 2 sizes and 2 prices listed: regular $8 or large $12. Frustrated by this deception, I call the restaurant. As I'm explaining this to the manager he insists that there is a larger glass at a higher price and I was priced appropriately. I asked him if he understood how it feels deceiving to only read 2 sizes on the menu, be asked to choose between 2 sizes, and then for the bill to be charged the higher price when I tried so adamantly to be clear that I want the smaller of the two. He said, "yes and (he) would have a conversation with his staff about being more clear" and if I wanted the $4 reimbursement then I would have to go back up there. As much I appreciate him offering resolution, that would've been a bigger inconvenience on top of all of this. I hope his servers are more willing to offer transparency in the moment to avoid a bad taste in a customer's mouth...
Read moreI'm not sure what's going on with Senior Iguanas but something has changed 🤔. Normally everything I eat there is delicious and I order from them all the time. but I ate there yesterday during lunch and I had refried beans, rice and 2 beef tacos which were full of grease, reddish looking grease. They were so greasy that my crunchy taco shell soften at the bottom. The beans tasted a bit sour to me even the rice tasted old. Normally when I've ordered a crunchy taco or a taco salad in the past there wasn't any grease in it and the meat was well seasoned. My husband had some queso to add on his burrito and it looked watered down. The waiter we had was a young guy and he tried his best to keep up with the tables he had. We have had him before as a waiter. It started to get crowded and it was only him and a short bald guy waiting tables. The bald, short guy that works there everytime we come in there his vibe is so rude. Idk what it is. I hate to pull the race card but I believe he is selective on who is allows in his section. He wasn't our waiter tho he only sat us at our table. I'm writing this review at 5:00AM as I could not sleep because of the acid reflux and my stomach hurting from the food I ate there and I didn't eat anything else the whole evening. I'm going to have to give you all a break for a while and hopefully if I ever come back the service is better. Very disappointed in the food...
Read moreBeen eating at senor iguanas since they come to Louisville at least ten years ago. Been to all locations and ate at this one quite a few times as well. But one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any of the locations yesterday. Never had a main Server never got a refill me our my wife, chips were harder than brick asked for new chips never got um was there for over an hour. First time I'd ever gotten a drank that tasted like mix from any of the locations then the guy tried to tell me I was lying smh. The food was mediocre at best my chimi was very small more rice and beans than anything and the rice was hard and old like sitting. Sad really usually my favorite spot for lunch our dinner. My wife's plate made me irritated she got the combination and the second item was so small she ate in three bites the enchilada looks like for a 3 year old. Really hope this place don't take a dump. Asked for chips and a to go drank one of the waiter's acted like I was bothering her. Doubt I'll be back way to much money for very small portions and high drank prices but weak dranks wife's tasted completely different strong when told said I must not taste it in mine don't charge top shelf prices if it's gonna be mix people know the difference color and taste. 75 dollars for bad food, dranks and service. And to be...
