My dad and I flew into town around 11 am, and decided to stop for lunch. We were both starving, saw this place on google and thought we would give it a shot, as it’s breakfast looked great. When we walked in, no one acknowledged us, and there were no signs to point people in a direction as to seating ourselves. I want to preface this by saying: I have worked in the Restraunt and food service industry and understand the hard work, and frustration that comes with this type of job. My family also owns their own businesses, and understand customer service and how things work from both points of view and I always give people the benefit of the doubt, because of this! After we arrived, we managed to find our way to a small table, after asking a waitress where we could sit… as it was fairly busy. We sat here for 30 minutes, before even waiving down someone to ask for 2 waters. At this point, a waitress came over and told us that she would notify another waitress, who would later come to take our order. This didn’t happen. “Our waitress” proceeded to help every table around us, including new customers, who came in long after we did… eventually we asked politely if we could get two hamburgers, (just a simple order, nothing special) which came with fries. She took this order, and brought out two small plastic containers of ranch, and after another hour of waiting, and watching customers come and go, we still had not received anything further for our meal. It had been two hours of us sitting in the same spot, and we finally got up, and told the lady at the register the situation. My dad and I apologized on our behalf for leaving, but explained both of us were running on empty, and zero sleep, and that we simply were beyond frustrated with our experience. The lady apologized and expressed her understanding for the situation. I again, believe that the restaurant industry is incredibly difficult to work in, and a local shop like this is no different. I have the upmost respect for the industry, but I don’t have respect for people who can’t simply be honest about the circumstances, and or give the customer the decency to apologize when we were clearly deliberately ignored. I personally believe they never even placed the order in the system, and had no intention to. As I told my dad “if you ignore the problem, the problem will go away.” I think the waitress was too lazy to bother fixing her mishap, and felt that if she ignored us, we would finally leave… (and we did). Bottom line is, we never were given the time of day, any respect, or food. Incredibly frustrating, to be treated so poorly when we wanted to...
Read moreParty of 8, we show up at 8am and are promptly seated. The waitress greets us and says she'll only do three drinks at a time because that's all she can carry. After she does the first round of 3 coffees, we just asked for waters and coffees for the whole table. She brings coffee mugs in the remaining groups of 3 and then only 3 water cups. We had to ask 3 more times for the remaining waters. In between asking, we see our waitress cutting tomatoes at a table behind us with most of the tomatoes going onto a cutting board and some going straight onto the table. Somehow I don't think that meets sanitary standards. The waitress picked those tomatoes up and grouped them with the ones on the cutting board. Finally we were brought more waters and ended up with 7 waters. We decided at that point, it wasn't worth asking again and one couple shared a water. We had to ask twice more for her to bring a pot of coffee for refills during the meal of which she complied once.
When ordering food, most of us ordered the same food, the special. She had to ask us several times if we were sure that's what we wanted. The food came out individually and was luke warm at best. The silverware was unclean with bits of dried food on them. We opted to pick the food off of the silverware instead of talking to the waitress. One of our party members found a long black hair in her food (none of us had long black hair) and promptly informed the waitress. The waitress apologized, comped that particular plate, and took the plate to show her manager. The waitress then had the audacity to come back and ask our party member if she removed the hair because her boss couldn't find it. UNBELIEVABLE.
Mediocre breakfast diner food at best. Service was below the bottom of the barrel. Cleanliness was below par.
The owner typically responds hoping we'll give them another try... To put it bluntly, we will not be back.
Instead, please inform your guests that you'll actually look into these reviews and provide some action to resolve it...
Read moreFirst time here after waiting at Yum for concert tickets! From out of town so I guess you can say we are non-biased. The interior is cute I loved looking at the photos on the walls. Don’t use the bathroom here if you can help it, you can barely fit inside, I had to sit sideways on the toilet.
We were excited, everyone talks about this place! Our experience however, left much to be desired.
Breakfast we heard is the best. We order breakfast, found it decently priced, paid, sat outside for about a half hour when we were approached to say they are “out of breakfast.” We all ordered the Wagner burgers instead. Some of us got doubles, some singles. The food came and every plate was incorrect. One was to only have cheese, it was topped. Mine was to have no cheese, it had cheese, my SO ordered a double, got a single, and my friend who ordered a burger got her breakfast order they said they didn’t have? It was not worth sending every single plate back but we let one of the 2 people who waited on us know. After our meal they brought my friend her burger order and tried to charge her for both.
Food quality, was simply okay, the burgers were not great. We all agreed they came as a frozen patty, it was very evident in the taste, color, and shape. The onion rings were also from frozen and were barely subpar. All three of us with burgers gave them a 3/5 rating.
The friend who got breakfast said it was okay. Eggs are eggs, sausage patty is a sausage patty and breakfast potatoes are from frozen so it’s hard to mess up. Though she gave her biscuits and gravy 4/5 stars, her overall breakfast meal 3/5
This place could be over the top if they took staples and put the effort in to not use frozen everything.
It was fine, but we won’t be back, there are many many places In town who go the extra mile to provide fresh, quality ingredients to customers.
I know this place has been around forever but getting lazy isn’t the way to...
