I placed a to go order and called the local number which directed me to a call center. I wanted turkey instead of pork so they said that I had to call the store (which I thought I was doing already). I spoke to someone on the phone who took my order (I later found out that her name was Diane). She said that she couldn't take my card over the phone, which was fine because my sister was picking both of our orders up. I gave her my card. When she arrived, they said that it was not ready but hers was and that there were orders ahead of mine. She asked for an ETA which there was not.
She brought the food back and I said I'll go get the other order. We live 10 minutes away. When she came I called the local number again which directed me to the call center. They could not find my order and I asked to be connected with the store. The store said that it was ready even though my sister just left ten minutes ago and they said it was not and there were orders ahead as well. She would have waited.
I got to the store and it was indeed crowded, which was understandable on a Sunday and I asked for my order. They asked for payment. I said my sister just left ten minutes ago or so and she paid with my card. They said it had on the receipt and they showed me "NP". I reiterated that it was paid but realized my receipt was still right outside in my car. I got the receipt and showed them the charge plus my sister left a tip. I told them to look at the receipt and everyone there were about 3 people at the front at that point kept saying I didn't pay. I even logged into my Navy Federal app and showed them the pending charge for 40 something for my family meal.I asked for a manger at that point, and they called Diane. She came up and said you didn't pay. I showed her the receipt and the pending charge on my bank account. She didn't want to look and just kept saying I need to pay and then she said I'm the one you spoke to on the phone didn't I tell you that you couldn't pay over the phone. I said I know and I'm showing you the receipt from just minutes ago when my sister PHYSICALLY came in and paid with my card. She started saying ma'am ma'am calm down I am trying to help you and figure out what's going on. I said I am calm (I was annoyed and raised my voice slightly because she wasn't looking at the black and white evidence that was being presented but I did not yell and I was not being belligerent as she was implying).
At this point the whole restaurant was looking at the spectacle. I was completely embarrassed! She then proceeded to say I'm not just going to let food walk out of here, which added to the embarrassment because now you're saying that I'm trying to steal food! I said but my sister JUST PAID I'm showing you the receipt and pending charge on my card! I told her that I didn't like the implication. She said ma'am I told you that you can't pay with a card over the phone. I don't understand what the disconnect was or why this lady was so unprofessional, ignorant, and just unintelligent.
Now on to the food. The meat was fine but there was no cheese on the eggs and I asked for them to be well done they were runny. 4 pancakes were normal size and 4 were super small. In the bag there were no napkins, forks, syrup, butter, nothing but the food.
Do better, I work too hard to earn my money to be belittled by a rude employee and to be accused of stealing is...
Read moreI decided to make my great-niece out for breakfast-lunch (not brunch because it was way after brunch hours), but I was somewhat disappointed.
Attempting to sit us at an unclean table, I informed the server that this area is not clean, and someone needs to clean the table and the floor under the table. We were then switched us to a different booth, and before I could tell her that this table needed cleaning she walked away. So I grabbed a few paper towels and the spray bottle that was sitting at the front and wiped down the table, and the seats before we sat down. Normally, I would immediately leave, but I did not feel like driving to the Fayetteville IHOP. Not only that, I noticed that a group of women who came in shortly after us did the same thing before they sat down, one of them wen and grabbed a few paper towels and the spray bottle from the front and wiped down their area before sitting. The table next to us was not clean, and I notices she was going to place a couple at the table, and when they looked at the table they walked out of the restaurant. My great-niece asked "why did they leave?" I said I guess they looked at the table.
I would understand if this diner was extremely busy, but when there are barely any people inside, what is the excuse?
As far as the food: My great-niece had the "Wiley Wonka" pancakes with scrambled eggs, and bacon. (ask for the purple sauce on the side instead of on the pancake, she said it was toooo sweet) even though I guess that the idea, after all it is "Wiley Wonka!" I had the "Wiley Wonka" burger and I must say, I'm not a big meat eater, but the burger was GOOOOD! We both had the 'Wiley Wonka" Pink drink with cotton candy, and cream cheese icing with sprinkles on the side and it was Delicious!! - sweet, but delicious!
Please make sure your areas are clean before sitting a customer: the table the floor the seats Please make sure your areas are clean before sitting customers. It will make for a better customer experience and customer reviews. Please note: the servers DID NOT have an attitude, the place just lacked in properly cleaning...
Read moreI've been to this Ihop twice in the last week, since finding out about this location. My first experience, was sub par. Not only did I have to wait a VERY long time for my food, during a non busy time, but when they did bring my food the 1st time, it was COLD. My food must have been sitting for some time before being brought my food. They offered to remake it which I accepted however by time they got me my 2nd plate, the party I was with had already finished ALL of their food so of course I had to rush to eat what I could and that meant I didn't get to eat or enjoy all of what I purchased. Fast forward to Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 7AM so it definitely was NOT busy. I opted to give them another shot. The hostess sat us at the same booth (must be bad luck) and of course the party I was with, had their food ready first. The waiter inquired if it was ok if they got their food first. Didn't make sense in making anyone wait, since I knew my food would not take much longer. To my surprise and dismay, I waited about 20 more minutes for my food but the kicker is my food WAS COLD AGAIN!!!!!! I was so disappointed. They brought out my French toast, which was NOT hot BUT warm and I didn't want to wait yet again (like last time) so I commenced eating that before that got cold too. About 5 minutes later my server, brought the rest of my food to table. My Hash brown, bacon AND eggs was not warm let alone hot, but was cold like they handn't even cooked it. Not wanting to complain too much out of fear of returning my food and the kitchen staff or waiter not being to happy, I opted to sift thru my food and eat what I could. Needless to say.. I more than likely will NOT return. The staff was pleasant but my food was definitely a disappointment. My experience at this location was certainly less than expected. Hopefully they'll eventually...
