The sheer number of taps and number of SKUs don't make a great beer store. Look at Yard house... 100 taps and only a handful of really interesting beers. And I don't really care if a store has every SKU Abita makes or horrible imports from russia. I want curation. And that's what you get at Cappys. They have limited space for beer, but I often find great beers here I don't normally see at Jungle Jims or Party Source. The staff is very knowledgable too. The new covered patio is nice too. I grew up in Loveland and went to this location many times over the years and saw the name of the carryout change many times. Of course back then I was drinking yoo-hoo and craft beer didn't exist yet. I never dreamed this place could exist here. Parking can be a little tricky if they are crowded. They have lots of wine too. Prices seem reasonable. Not quite as cheap on everything as a Kroger or Jungle Jim or Party Town, but it's close and you get the added customer service which is well worth an extra...
Read moreDO NOT patronize this business. I called and asked them if they had Weller Antique 107 and they told me yes they did and would distribute at 4PM on 1/24/19. I called again and asked what time I really needed to get there to get 1 bottle for private consumption and they told me 3:30. I showed up at 3:20 and they were handing out wait in line tickets like the DMV. I get #12. Little did I know that 11 others showed up even earlier, left, and came back later just in time to get theirs. I kept asking how many bottles they had (knowing they had been allocated 12) and they told me they didn't know. What BS! Then they tell me that "some" bottles were already set aside for "wholesalers" (god only knows what that means), so after wasting an hour of my life, they announce the Antique is sold out. Me and everyone behind me that waited were SOL. All I asked was for honesty, but they just want run a Black Friday scam too get people...
Read moreI have patronized this business for many years. This past Saturday I parked in front and got out with my dog like I have done many times. An employee who knows me and my dog greeted us and said hello. I then walked with my dog to let him relieve himself. As I was walking him I heard “Excuse me… excuse me” I turned and said what?! I was then told please park somewhere else as this parking is for our customers by a different employee. I responded that I am a customer and that after my dog is finished I will be in to make a purchase. This employee was clearly agitated. I told him to chill out. After my dog was done we went inside. I then told the employees I will not be back and will purchase my alcohol elsewhere in the future. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!! RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! There are other businesses who treat customers well. This is not...
