This is a very nice and comfy spot. We visited on a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty busy. The decor is definitely different compared to what you usually see at other coffee shops, parisian flair and a lot of gold! It's still very comfy feeling though with the overstuffed chairs and couches. I really liked that they have a large table available for bigger gatherings/meetings as well as a couple of cozy alcoves in the back seating area that allow for a little more privacy or intimacy if you don't want to be completely out in the open when working on that big project or you're on that simple but lovely date night š. They have 2 bathrooms in the back that were well kept and clean when we visited. Now for the coffee and food. We came in primarily for some coffee but tried a couple of treats as well. We had their hot chocolate, a sugar-free salted caramel ice blended coffee, a hot steeped chamomile tea, and a Valletta Latte which is one of their signature drinks. We also tried their made from scratch cream cheese banana bread as well as one of their protein bar bites which looks like a chocolate truffle! All of the drinks were good, strong coffee flavor, no bitterness at all. My son enjoyed his hot chocolate and daughter liked her hot tea, she said it tasted like they put a lot of honey in it, which she loved. My Valletta is described as having a lot of warm spices in it, cinnamon, clove and cardamom. I'm a huge fan of all of these so I was really looking forward to my drink. Unfortunately, the only spice that really came through for me was the cinnamon. I didn't really get much clove and definitely no cardamom. I'd love to get that spice punch if it says it's in there. But it was great for a vanilla, cinnamon coffee drink. Now, the protein bite, my husband LOVED it, him and my son both said it tasted like a peanut butter cup. The cream cheese banana bread. Let me preface this review by saying that I'm a massive banana bread fan and whenever it's being sold, I always try it. So, that being said, this was not your typical banana bread with banana flavor & moist light sponge. This was CAKE, frosted banana cream cheese cake would be a better description. It is delicious, but I wouldn't call it banana bread just because it's in the shape of a loaf. It's frosted with royal icing, the sponge is dense but moist, tons of banana flavor and throughout you get pieces of cream cheese that taste like cream cheese frosting or little pieces of cheesecake bites. It's definitely a sugar bomb to the palate, super sweet. But a delicious dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful. The reason for the 4 stars is because they only had one sugar-free option for the ice blended coffee drinks. So not much to drink in that area if you're looking for a lower sugar option. Only salted caramel. It seemed like a nice spot to just hang out and catch up with friends. I'll be back to try some of their other offerings. If you're in Loveland, check it out! The other locations are mostly in UT. What a treat to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFeelLove has a lot of potential and is really beautifully decorated, but the prices are extremely inflated for how inconsistent the quality of food and beverages is across the board (and I say this from a NYC perspective; FeelLove literally charges the same as a place in Manhattan would, but for way inferior products).
Iāve worked as a barista at three different local/craft coffee shops in different regions throughout the country so I believe Iām more understanding of what baristas have to deal with, but can also recognize a quality coffee drink when Iām served one. I donāt think this place is worth visiting if you care at all about value for money; FeelLove has all of the potential to be a really great gourmet coffee shop, but there are a few quality related things that they really need to work on to make their exorbitant prices worth it.
The biggest issue is that the baristas really vary in their skills, so itās a gamble to order even basic coffee drinks here. For one, thereās a lot of inconsistency in then quality of their espresso pulls (Iāve had some really good espresso-based drinks on some instances and then others that are really off in both taste and volume). Also, their knowledge of the differences between milk requirements for different drinks (like how much air to add in when steaming milk for a regular cappuccino vs a dry cappuccino vs a latte, for instance) really varies across the board.
The other problem Iāve had here on multiple occasions is that Iāve been charged different amounts for the same drink depending on who is working at the register. One of the people who checked me out charged me the same amount to add a splash (
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE : After spending over 500 dollars and visits 2-3 times per week over the last 3 months, the personell, the quality, the customer resolution (remakes of bad drinks, untoasted bread, generally poor customer service, and several attempts to reach out to the manager, I don't know if I would recommend this place for more than a last resort coffee shop. The changes that have taken place here in conjunction with the general energy and aura of the establishment is palpable. The management is uninterested and in my extensive management experience, incompetent to oversee an operation and conduct a customer rectification. It's a shame to see these changes to a shop that we looked forward to coming to. Now, I just pray to not have a bad experience and hope to get a friendly person that wants to work there and enjoys her job. Katy the "general manager" is disinterested in customer satisfaction and is 100 percent profit focused and what she doesn't understand is that, without sales, you can't have profit. There were 11 emails exchanged in attempt to come to a resolution. Her resposnes were defensive, a policy change to not remake drinks that were unsatisfactory or experiences that were subpar. Then inevitable conclusion was she was unavailable to speak via phone, only email, with no inevitable resolution, just defensive accusations and unavailability. If I could take back my choice and experiences at "feel love," I would and never look back. Now if I come here, it because the menu IS the best available in town. But with businesses profit focused and no longer customer focused, all we can do is hope for some positive response from the owner as we would love to continue to frequent this shop, but our efforts are now exhausted. We have sent Instagram messages in hopes of some common ground resolution, so updates coming.
