I have been At the pour house with my family several times and sufficed to say our bill is never cheap due to the enjoyment of good food and good drinks. Up until today weve had excellent service and enjoyed ths greay atmosphere. Today, we came in for a good lunch. I ordered a Cocktail and my brother who is trying to recover from injury ordered water. ( first sign of annoyance from server) we ordered three appetizers and two full entrees with one more to go ( bill is around 70 for two people). Now being a minister, an ex restaurant manager/owner as well as serving in the military i am of the mind to refer to people as sir and ma'am. Since the server seemed upset (who knows why at this point) I asked if she would like to be addressed as ma'am or would prefer by name. She said my name is Patty. I said thank you Patty.
We went to ask for a sample of the chilies (since my brother has never been and has always had to work when we all have been out, and he was excited to be taken to the Pourhouse). Now when she came back to se which one we wanted, I said "i am so sorry you're going to hare me but i have to ask... Can we get a bowl that mixes all three, we love the spice, seetness, and hardiness that the three of them together provide". Patty obviously seemed annoyed but obliged. She came back and said " here, i am only going to charge you for one bowl and it will be the green chili" (I mean ok, thanks for being nice but would you have normally charhed for three bowls?)... So I Brushed it off and smiled and said thank you so much. We had a pizza came out and i noticed the disappointment on my brothers face. I asked what was up and he said is this the Mediterranean? I said I believe it is, and he said "it's not what I was expecting" and I was like "is that because there's cheese on it" because I know Tayler wouldn't like the cheese (FYI Tayler is his girlfriend who stuck at work right now who he was going to bring up his food back home for). He said yes I think she will be mad.
Now patty walks by hearing that there is dissatisfaction with the pizza, and I realize that she is upset.
So when she comes to the table I offer an explanation "hey I'm sorry we have a lot going on and we're just trying to make sure that the food we bring home for Taylor is okay". At this point she notices that my brother picks up one of the ingredients that's charcoaled completely all the way through oh, and then she replies that because "it's cauliflower crust they actually have to burn it to cook it all the way through", I asked if they had ever considered cooking the crust halfway through and then throwing the ingredients back on to cook it the rest of the way through as in a two-step process. Again she seemed annoyed and I Then followed through with my explanation "sorry, we are just trying to make sure that the food is okay as in my brother's girlfriend is picky with her diet and we're just trying to balance out expectations that we don't mean Fort to come off that way or to be so difficult, it doesn't have anything to do with you". Her reply was "well that's the way it's coming off" and then walked off. Both me and my brother were bit shocked as in I was trying to be empathetic towards her frustration of which we were not even sure what she was frustrated over to begin with. We tried to take accountability even though this is a normal situation when trying to deal with food for a family member who is not present to order themselves.
When she came back the next time I tried to give her a little bit more detail hoping that she would really understand that it didn't need to be taken personal... I said " again my apologies, my brother had just ended up in a really bad auto accident two days ago where he was hit at 40 miles per hour behind his vehicle and had to escape the vehicle through the window, he's in a lot of pain and is uncomfortable and it's just simply trying to look out for his girlfriend who's in shock over his injuries.

Read moreThe Pour House Bar and Grill in Loveland, Colorado, is a fantastic spot that we frequent often. The service is consistently good, although we do miss a particularly bubbly lady who used to work as a server there. Her absence has been noted, as she added a special touch to the dining experience with her vibrant personality and attentive service.
The food at Pour House is quite tasty, with a diverse menu that caters well to various dietary preferences, including some good options for vegetarians. This makes it a great place to go with a group, as there's something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just some appetizers to go with your drinks, you won't be disappointed by the quality or flavor of the dishes offered.
For professionals looking for a place to sit and eat lunch, Pour House provides a comfortable and welcoming environment. The ambiance is casual yet lively, making it a suitable spot to take a break from the office and enjoy a good meal. However, it’s worth noting that the place can get pretty loud, especially during peak hours. But if you enjoy a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, this is part of its charm.
One of the standout features of the Pour House is their modern approach to handling payments. They bring the payment machine directly to your table, so your card never has to leave your sight. This not only adds a layer of convenience but also enhances security, giving patrons peace of mind when paying their bill.
Overall, Pour House Bar and Grill offers a great combination of good food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or just a drink with friends, it’s a reliable choice that consistently delivers a pleasant dining experience. We always look forward to our visits and highly recommend it to anyone in the Loveland area looking for a great place to...
Read moreThis is a great family spot. I have tried 3 dishes from this joint so far so here is my breakdown and recommendations.
Soft pretzel: these soft pretzels are among the best I've had. They are obviously baked in house as they always come out soft and warm. They are also in extremely generous portions, they come as an appetizer, but could easily satisfy as a meal, especially for a smaller person. The queso and IPA mustard are decent, bread of the pretzel is not quite soft enough to soak up the dressings as I'd like, but still delicious and both great dip options.
Fish n chips: The fish and chips are obviously not fresh; however I cannot speak for the salmon option as I've never tried it. Aside from this, they are still a great option. The fries at this place never disappoint and deliver the perfect amount of crunch through their golden shell. The breaded fish strips, however, are slightly lackluster. They do not taste fresh, but when dipped in the tartar sauce, this is masked, and they still deliver a wonderful flavor.
Queso street tacos: These tacos are some of the bests I've tasted. They do come in small portions; however, the price is not outrageous, and the flavor is immense. The queso is held perfectly by a corn tortilla, and you cannot go wrong with any meat options.
The staff is very friendly, but they often seem shorthanded, if you are dying for a meal, it will feel like an eternity before it comes out, but it's really not terrible. I'd say about 15-20 minutes average on a busy night. Service is always delivered with a smile here. The poorhouse has done an excellent job crafting their menu and putting together a great staff to make it happen. The atmosphere here is fantastic for the college like area around it. I'm sure it drums up lots of business during the school year so get a table while you can!
