I really hesitated before writing this review. My family and I have been going to Justine's for over 35 years and absolutely loved their pizza. However, I've become increasingly uncomfortable each time I've gone there and this last time it was too much. Before, I noticed the owner had been wearing what could barely be classified as a mask, since he wore a face covering/neck gaiter with holes cut out over his mouth. The last time, though, he kept his gaiter around his neck the entire time I was there, waiting for my pizza to be ready. The rest of his staff was appropriately masked, but I'm pretty sure being the owner of a restaurant doesn't suddenly make you magically not able to spread germs. Although there was a sign on the door stating that masks were required, while I waited, a young man came in without a mask, paid at the register, and then stood to wait for his pizza also. No one said anything to him. He waited next to the counter, breathing over all of the empty boxes that sat open, awaiting the pizzas from the oven. I live with a family member whose health is unstable. We are extremely careful. During the pandemic, I am the only one to leave the house, for groceries and the occasional take-out. I hesitated to bring it home, as someone had breathed over the open box and then someone unmasked had removed it from the oven and given it to me. He may have made the pizza without a mask as well if his staff was on break, for all I know. To make matters worse, when I did bring the pizza home (against my better judgement) I found a HAIR on my piece of pizza! We will not be returning to this restaurant again, which is a shame, as we have enjoyed this place for years. Sadly, the quality has declined significantly and the safety guidelines are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSome of the best and well made pizza for miles. The atmosphere is great, friendliest staff that go above and beyond. My wife and I went to Justineās which is 20 minutes further than our local pizza place which also has good pizza but the atmosphere isnāt great.
We went in on a Friday which is one of their busiest days and was told an hour wait for our pizza. They gave us a number after we ordered and headed to the bar where the bar tender would add the drinks we wanted onto our number instead of paying after every drink or opening a tab and having multiple bills. We waited only 35 minutes before our pizza was at our table and the nice lady asked if we needed anything else. My wife and I asked if there was any water and she referred us to the self serve fountain drinks area. She then said donāt worry Iāll get it for you guys so we could get down to enjoying or pizza. My wife and I looked at each other and said āWowā the place was busy so that she took the time to get it for us was amazing!
After we finished we went up to the counter to pay and the man asked if everything we experienced was great. Usually people are in a hurry and just want one to pay the bill and cya later. This man wanted to make sure our experience was great and then gave us a total. This business really cares about you and the time you spend in their business.
Amazing place and we will continue...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe vibe at Justine's is immaculate! The first thing you notice upon entering is the classic smell of pizza and restaurant carpet. Once you smell that you know you're entering a good pizza spot. You've got the low lighting through electric candle sconces on the wall, and Rat-Pack wall murals which really indicate you're in for a treat.
You can tell that the crust is made with good quality flour and that the oven temperature is just right. The crust is neither too thick nor too thin and is the only crust I will eat the ends of. The toppings are generous while not being too heavy-handed.
The owner Greg is always behind the counter pitching in when I stop in for pickup. The quality is consistent and the service is great. This is an awesome local business and I recommend stopping by or calling in and ordering pick up. No delivery is offered.
( Side Note: They do offer a cherry pizza in honor of loveland's cherry-rich history. However, I would not recommend getting this. It's basically cherry pie filling with a lot of mozzarella cheese on pizza crust and it's pretty difficult to eat and...
