Overall bad experience. My girlfriend got called “sir”. Bad tasting and over cooked, very greasy food that left puddle of oil on plate. Portions seemed abnormally small and were also split onto two plates which wasn’t asked for. The manager Jenn kept glaring over at the table making it into a very uncomfortable awkward situation.
Update!!! SHAME ON YOU PERKINS!!! Or should I say upper management for tainting the Perkins name and restaurant for personal use and demeanor. For lying making things up and asking for the truth to be removed to try and save your image. Backing up and encouraging the poor and rude actions from the manager Jennifer making what was suppose to have been a nice experience having a meal with family members into a shameful act of awkwardness. Was embarrassing getting dirty looks and glared at by Jennifer. There was nothing said or done from the members of the party to get this unprofessional managers actions towards us. Needs further training in keeping business, business. Shame on you for calling up a reviewer that was telling the truth about the very bad and awkward service and the terrible over done oil soaked food, and was told to NEVER RETURN.
Perkins corporation what do you think of that?
We did nothing wrong to get disgraced like that. The manager Jennifer definitely does not know how to keep professional and keep personal issues separate. Also the person who called asking for the review to be removed, shame on you too. Jennifer has a personal vendetta against said customer. Feels like as if she knows that her boyfriend was unfaithful to her for a number of years and was definitely making it known that it was this particular customer. . Was not the customers fault at all about her at home issues. The anger was taken out on the wrong person should have been taken out on her boyfriend Brent.
Again, Perkins I ask if this is your business policy and practice to back up the personal emotions and actions of your managers? For these employees to call a reviewer to remove a truthful review for personal emotions is completely unprofessional and...
Read moreMe and my husband went to eat at Perkins on Tuesday April 12th expecting a nice breakfast meal. Before we could order our meal we realized our coffee was not hot, not even warm but cold. Then we ordered our breakfast and waited 30mins on our order. When the food arrived my eggs where over cooked and my hash browns where under cooked. My husbands food was all around cold. When we where trying to explain to Judith (our server) what was wrong with the meal she cut us off grabbed our plates and stormed off. We waited another ten minutes to recook our food. When Judith came back I asked to talk to the manager where she told us she was the manager. Later before we left a lady who was the manager talked to us and was extremely rude for the situation. They gave us a 30% discount which I don't believe was enough when we actually had to send Everything back. The manager then told us that she was the one cooking which topped it all off. Me and my husband both work in the restaurant business and would never let customers walk out as unhappy as we are. We will never be back to Perkins. Village in just got two more customers.
Ok. Four years later we decided to try again. We decided on Perkins because it was 9pm and really the only place open. We went and they told us we had to order out, because they weren't doing fine in. Even though reviews (all bad) stated people where dinning in. And the website said they had dine in till 11pm. We ordered it to go and didn't argue because it was late. Went home to find half our order missing. How is this...
Read moreWorking late in office, we decided to get Perkins take out. I called to place the order and the person who answered was busy and asked if I could hold. The phone was set down on a counter and I could hear the business transaction. Then I heard another employee come over and have a conversation about a customer for 3 mins before she picked up the phone again. I let her know I needed to place a to go order. She seemed to have some issues knowing the menu and since we come often, I was able to walk her through the questions needed to place the order correctly. One of the orders was a chicken fried steak and eggs, seemed fairly straight forward. We got back to the office with the order and the chicken was between two biscuits with cheese. I called the lady back and let her know the order was wrong! She said she was sorry. I asked her if we could get a credit on the next order or something? She stated that she needed to ask the manager. After 7 mins of being on hold, she returned to say that they could make me a new one. I asked to speak with the manager as I was not able to drive the 20miles back right now. She stated that he was not available to speak with me and maybe I should try my call back again another time. I let her know we would not be calling on them again at all. She said, oh, ok, well have a good night then. The worst part of it all is that the food if given right is almost always perfect and we love eating there. We were sad that because of such poor customer service, we will not be back for...
