🚗 Welcome to Flavortown, Lowell Edition! 📍 Location & Vibe Situated at 343 Market Street, Gormley’s Café is a Lowell institution dating back to 1951 . The interior boasts a 1950s diner vibe with eclectic artwork, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere . 🍳 Menu Highlights • Irish Breakfast: A hearty plate featuring bangers, rashers, black and white pudding, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, Batchelor’s Beans, and homemade soda bread . • Boomlette: An omelette packed with a variety of fillings, living up to its “everything but the kitchen sink” description. • Mill No. 5 Sandwich: A croissant sandwich with duck egg, bacon, spinach, cheddar, bacon marmalade, and hot honey . • Corned Beef Hash: Homemade and flavorful, it’s a standout dish that patrons rave about . 🍹 Drinks Gormley’s offers a full bar, including brunch cocktails like espresso martinis . 🕒 Hours Open Wednesday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

What a gem of a place. My coworker picked it as a place for us to get breakfast before heading to the office we were visiting and he did not disappoint. They had duck egg sandwiches on the menu with some interesting additions which worked really well with the rest of the dish. The lady helping us picked up on us liking spicy food so she brought over some local hot sauce for us to try. The sauce was great as the rest of the dishes. The combination of texture and flavor was outstanding and we finished the meal in a hurry. She also recommended some other places to try for lunch/dinner. Friendly service, delicious food and reasonable pricing made it for a fantastic stop.

Best breakfast in Lowell. Creative menu. The owner chatted with us and made a great suggestion to try locally made hot sauces, we walked out with hot sauce. Everything that can be is locally sourced. Highly Recommended, as in, I can't recommend this place enough.

This will unfortunately be my last time going to this restaurant. We had family visiting from out of the country and my husband and I took them to Gormley’s because it’s the spot we usually go to in Lowell. Upon entering we were abruptly greeted by a woman in short blue hair in a high pony tail (I believe her name was Sam but not sure) she pointed to a table and almost ordered us “over there” and I asked if we could have another table and she said “no. we need to split up the sections.” (mind you, this is a tiny restaurant). We have NO issues abiding by the set up or preference of a restaurant but there was no need to come off so disrespectful and aggressive, you would NEVER guess we were paying customers. Her whole demeanour and rudeness absolutely dampened the whole mood and it was frankly really embarrassing in front of our guests. This was our last meal before they went back home and I just wish we went elsewhere. I really hope this was the owner because I sincerely feel bad for the owner of a business losing customers over such a careless attitude and disregard for...

This place was highly recommended to me from a friend. She knows the owner well. We have been coming here for a couple of years now quit a few times. We loved this hidden gem until today! We came for breakfast after doing the lowell general cancer walk. There where quit a few of us so we asked for separate checks. When the waitress places our order the cook started complaining about the separate checks and making comments on what she had written on the check. Being very rude to her and With the place being as small inside you can hear everything that is said. We also asked for a few extra things he said “No” we don’t do that here to her including Mayo and when she asked him for this he replied that’s “disgusting”. My daughter that has severe anxiety over hears him and starts to cry because it was for her. Making her feel terrible for liking Mayo. The whole time here today was very strange, uncomfortable & unprofessional. With things being said that was so uncalled for we will no longer be a...

This review is for breakfast on 10/31/17. I've been hearing a lot about this Cafe from friends, so I know I had to come and try it for myself. I went in with a friend and she ordered the Gormley's sandwich with bacon (similar to a Boott Mill) and I ordered two eggs, bacon, toast, and home fries. I wanted to try the corned beef hash (my true test of a diner), but unfortunately they were sold out.

If I could have the home fries every day without any negative health repercussions, I would! They were the best home fries I have had in a long time. Perfectly crispy and well seasoned, I only wish they gave more (although my waistline is happy they did not). Everything else was what I expected, over easy eggs were nice and runny, bacon was crisp, and the toast was toasted. I had ordered wheat, but I wish they had a more wholesome wheat bread offering.

Otherwise, the customer service was fabulous and parking wasn't too bad at 10:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. Solid choice for breakfast if you're...
