Sandwich King — Restaurant in Lowell

Can't rate the food. Ordered twice using the slice app. The first time they confirmed the order and charged me but I never got the food and they were closed when I called. Fortunately, Slice reimbursed me. Second time I placed an order 1 hour before close and they just didn't confirm it. I understand I order late but I work late as I'm a cook a a private club. But I serve every customer until close. Don't understand why I can't order when you're clearly open. I'm giving 3 stars because I can't rate the food. But the service is automatically minus 2 stars. And to whomever responds to bad reviews, as it used to me my job, just show results. I don't care about excuses, just like I tell my staff. First time here. Never again. Ordered steak tip dinner medium rare. Got small cubes of steak over cooked with absolutely no flavor. (They obviously don't marinade their meat.) It was actually terrible. Salad that came with it was scrap. I asked for Cesar dressing got nothing. I also ordered 2 meatball subs with provolone. They gave me American yellow cheese. Meatballs were not as bad as the rest of the food but not great either. Sauce wasn't bad. But it's just awful to eat steak that hard with no flavor at all. Also the order they did not get right. Didn't like the fact that their all cooking and touching my food with jackets on and sleeves all the way down. No one had hair nets. It's just they have a lot to learn about cooking and proper hygiene and everything else. Probably in the wrong...

Wow. We've ordered before, but never again after tonight. The best part was the regular fries. THANK GOODNESS IT WAS CHEAP. Ordered a ruben sandwich. I have NEVER tasted something so awful! I took 2 bites from one half and threw it away! I tried the other half in desperation and it was a little better but after 1 bite the only chunk of meat fell out and I was left with sauerkraut and dressing. Roast beef came in chunks not slices. 2 large chunks and one very undercooked but dried out normal sized slice of meat on one half, then ONE chunk of meat on the other. The dressing tasted like it had gone bad. Rubens have a pretty uniform taste, whatever this was, wasn't even in the ball park.
