I've eaten here many times. And like other reviewers have indicated, you either have really good service or really bad service - but last night was one for the books: My family arrived at Blue Taleh around 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. There were three other parties seated in the dining room and a couple of people at the bar. The place was almost empty - only 3 out of 20 tables were occupied. The hostess asked if I had a reservation, and when I said I did not, she seemed challenged to find a spot for us (in a mostly empty restaurant). Since we were a party of five, she wanted to seat us at a square table for four, and push another chair in on the corner. I asked if she could push another table for two together with the table for four and she said "no, we have a reservation for those tables". I asked to speak to the manager. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they had reservations for 60, 90, 120 minutes from now and that they did not want to disrupt the seating arrangement of the restaurant - those tables are reserved. I asked if all her patrons arrive promptly ? Are they opposed to grabbing a cocktail at the bar while they wait a few minutes for there table ? Can I see you rreservation list ? (maybe I can help you with the math) No. No. No and No.

Basically, if we wanted to eat there, we were being forced to cram into a small table while other tables were empty, awaiting patrons that would arrive much later. Again I tried reasoning with the manager, but she insisted our only option was to cram 5 people around a four square small table, while other tables sat empty.

We left and dined somewhere else. What utter nonsense !

I've dined at many restaurants in my life - with and without reservations - and it's not at all uncommon to be told, even when you have a reservation, that "your table will be ready shortly" as another party that was there earlier is occupying your...

The staff is extremely rude. We were a party of five, ordered several appetizers, entrees, and drinks. They originally put us at a tiny four-top on the outside patio and pulled a 5th chair over to the corner of the table and told us that they couldn't push two tables together. This was at 4:30pm and nobody else was on the patio except for us. The menus for five of us didn't even fit on the table so we eventually got our server to push two of these small tables together for us which we were appreciative of.

Immediately following paying our bill, we were asked if we were going to be there a while because they had someone waiting for the table. At this point, we had been there for a little over an hour which for five people having apps, dinner, and a casual outside dining experience is not overstaying our welcome. When we left, there were 3 other empty tables that they could have pushed together if another large party was waiting. Which I find interesting to begin with considering we had to beg to put tables together when we got there?

We are a group of co-workers who traveled into the area from different parts of the country and don't get to see each other often so we stayed for about 20 minutes after we were essentially asked to leave and then got dirty looks from the girl hostessing every time she sat another table or made a pass thru the area.

Food is mediocre, customer service is terrible, two of the five of us are local the area and we definitely won't be going back or recommending anyone we know...

First let me start by saying the restaurant is majestically sitting in downtown Lowell. The vibe is good; however, my boyfriend and me visited this restaurant Saturday night and the service was terrible. We were assigned a server who seemed lost in her mental world and who clearly didn’t understand what was asked of her. She failed to seek understanding and proceeded to do what she thought we ordered. One, it’s unlikely a Thai restaurant doesn’t have fish oil or Thai chilies. But the server claimed they didn’t at first. Then she said they did. After waiting for 30minutes to get the hot Thai peppers we requested with the fish sauce, another server appeared and told us clearly the restaurant didn’t have any of what we requested. Then another server showed up asked if we were ready to leave which was mind boggling because we were just served our food. We proceeded to ask her for the Thai chilies and fish sauce for the third time. She then brought the lemons and fish sauce but no chilies. We waited again for another 15 minutes. As another server pass by we inquired about the chilies. She finally brought them but at this point my boyfriend was tired of waiting and had already ate all his food. At no point did our server came to inquire how our meal was and how we were doing. I run a business and work with customers every day. I will request management re-trains all his staff so they can provide excellent service to everyone that walks in their doors. Customer service in this establishment is extremely...

We got drawn in by the words "Japanese and Thai cuisine" and "Sushi. The second door is a little jammed in place so it needs a hard tug to open. After being seated, we got our drinks and food rather quickly. We got the bento boxes so we started with Miso soup. From what we had, we were very impressed (and stomachs very full) with Blue Taleh. For a town as small as Lowell, we did not expect this sort of quality. The Miso soup, the sushi, the pad Thai, the satay, and the tempura impressed us with their portion size and flavour. If you are into all the food we listed in this review, and don't mind if the servers are a little cold in manner, this is your destination.

From Sushi to Thai this place nails perfection! Our family shook off a cold day with friendly, attentive service, an excellent selection of drinks and non-alcoholic alternatives, incredible appetizers and entrees which had us in awe! My niece was particularly pleased with her fried ice cream. I will make the trip back to Lowell just for this restaurant! Yes it is that amazing ❤️ Second visit was just as amazing as the first! The Basil fried rice with crispy chicken is absolutely the best I have ever had! Though I live over an hour from Lowell, I envision several additional trips to BlueTaleh!

Sushi was good, as well as the tempura and Thai rolls, but do NOT order the chicken satay, if you can even really call it that. There was no seasoning on the chicken besides maybe some salt and pepper, and the peanut sauce was really oily. I also had to wait an extra 30 minutes after arriving at the restaurant for my order to be ready, but I am mostly disappointed in the fact that a Thai restaurant would serve such bland chicken satay. I don't think I can give this place a second chance, but if you do, DO NOT order the chicken satay
