Amici Pizza Camp Hill — Restaurant in Lower Allen

We are out-of-towners visiting friends for the day, and as a small group of four, we went to Amici's in Camp Hill yesterday for lunch. Amici's was highly recommended by our friends, and the moment we all walked in, we knew why. We were greeted with big smiles, friendly faces, and a warmth of familiarity, despite two of us having never been there. The owner recognized our friends and began a wonderful banter that brought more laughter to all of us. As we were ordering a white pan pizza to share, I brought up concerns about there being fresh garlic (as was specified in the ingredients list on the impressive menu) - and the owner immediately came up with a solution to help me avoid my devastating allergy.

As we waited for our food, we chatted with the owner and staff as they continued to work, and I watched as anyone who walked in the door was greeted and treated like family.

We didn't have a long wait, and the food was INCREDIBLE!! White pizza is one of my favorite types, but this one was by far superior. The thin crust had a great chew and texture, the cheese was tasty and we had the option to adjust seasoning to taste at the table (oregano, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and more). There were chunks of broccoli and fresh tomatoes as well and I was more than pleased with the overall eating experience!

One can tell that love is a driving force behind Amici's. A love for creating, for serving, for sharing food, for people....all this and more! The passion and kindness of the owner and staff create such a beautiful atmosphere and I am sad that we don't live closer!!

**Update: August 6th order-Today I gave Amici in Camp Hill another try today from the last visit. I ordered 2 large cheese pizza special, and the 2 orders of the 2 cold turkey and cheese subs and a fry for $23.

I want to be fair as the last time I had a horrible experience. As said before their pizza is really good. Today, with the 2 cold sub special and a fry I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. You actually get 2 full sized subs and a fry for 23$ ( Wednesday special only).

The sub was amazing and huge. I have to admit, the Camp Hill location taste way better than Mechanicsburg.**

So upsetting!!! Ordered grill chicken combo, cheeseburger combo, traditional wings, side of onion rings, large cheese pizza.

A lot of my comparison is with the Amici Mechanicsburg location.

For the $10 grilled chicken combo with a side of onion rings, let me tell you, this pissed me off. There were ONLY 4 ONION RINGS. The grilled chicken was not a patty it was chopped up pieces. This is so upsetting because for $10 you would think the onion rings would be more generous. The Mechanicsburg location ALWAYS gives a bigger appropriate portion size for the same money.

I will say the Mechanicsburg location always burns their onion rings and Camp Hill didn't.

The same issue with the cheeseburger combo with onion rings. Very upsetting.

If I will pay $10-$11 for a combo, you would expect more. NO, there was not a drink included. This makes it even worse.

Speaking of drinks, I wanted to buy some but all they had was diet Pepsi.

This has left a negarive experience and I don't intend to ever go back.

What if I had it door dashed? I would be more royally pissed off.

Try A'MICHI soon, you do not want to miss out on this food. We have been customers of their Mechanicsburg location for several years and are so happy they opened a new location closer to us. I'm VERY picky about my pizza since I helped manage several pizza deliveries in Baltimore in the 80's and I can tell you that this pizza is the absolute best that I have had in years. The crust is the perfect thickness, and the sauce is traditional and delicious. The owner is professional but very friendly. Thank you for bringing your food closer to us!
