Teriyaki Express — Restaurant in Lower Allen

For some reason we haven't typically chosen Teriyaki Express when we would grab a bite at the mall, but today this changed to my #1 selection for food by the mall! I was excited to see the Poke bowl on the menu today, and got the spicy salmon bowl with sushi rice. It had mango chunks, pickled radish, arugala, and of course salmon. When the chef who prepared it handed it to me, he was beaming and as soon as I saw the bowl I was beaming too! It tasted even better than it looks! The salmon was so fresh, and even the small bowl was not only filling but I was stuffed!

He even put two cute chocolate hearts on top, and stuck two pocky sticks in it. The presentation was adorable!

No issue with the workers, they were a little slow and there seemed to be some confusion about what orders they were supposed to be making, but nothing that actually impacted my experience. the food, however, was so bad. I got their crispy tofu fried rice and it was basically inedible. the tofu is fried plain without any sauce or seasoning so it's very plain and the fried rice is also bland. It doesn't taste bad per say, it just all sort of tastes like nothing. I managed to eat maybe half of it by drowning it in spy sauce, but absolutely not...

Busy small Kiosk type place for quick Sushi and Japanese food. They are located in the food court at The Capital City Mall. It's very busy in this food court. Loud also from all the people. Many choices. They do a good job of preparing and presentation of their fish. They have prepared chilled entrees to just pick up and carry out. Many people swear by Sushi.
