Tony Roni's Spring House — Restaurant in Lower Gwynedd Township

I used to frequent Altomeo’s pizza in Wayne, PA a long time ago as it was near my office. When I first started going, I noticed lots of people ordering tomato pie. I never understood why anyone for opt for pizza WITHOUT cheese…until I tried it. Their tomato was amazing. My girlfriend’s family are from Italy and make their own sauce from fresh plum tomatoes. They loved it, too. Eventually, my office moved and when I went back to get a pizza, Altomeo’s was gone! I was devastated. I tried to find out if they moved to no avail. Fast forward to 2023 and I was determined to find out what happened. I stumbled across an article mentioning that Tony Roni’s is their new place. I stopped in and wasn’t disappointed. The crust of the new tomato pie seems thinner than I remember (but I could be wrong). This is addressed by getting a Sicilian pizza with extra plum tomato sauce and no cheese…PERFECT! Not too good. I had pizzas. A traditional and a thin crust. There was no discernable diff between the thin and traditional. All were pretty limp (actually soggy crust) and not crusty. I just felt like they were scrimping on materials to make the cheapest pizza possible instead of the best tasting pizza possible. Sauce was meh and the cheese coverage was pretty scarce. The prices shown on their own line menu were $3/pie less than what I was charged. The fine print does say prices can change wo notice, but when I asked about it at pickup, the attendant said "that's how they get you". I did not make any issue and resolved to shop elsewhere in future. They charged over 6% credit . The place is clean, well lit and counter people were nice and energetic. I actually don't want to put any stars on them!!! They don't even deserve that!They serve bugs in their broccoli and other foods! This is the 2nd location where I have had big dead bugs in my food!!! I won't stop until these restaurants are shut down FOR GOOD!!! this store is dirty! They obviously don't clean none of their food and cook the bugs right in!!! My first incident was in Plymouth meeting, pa in 2015 (the last picture of the salad) and the next incident was in chalfont, pa 2 days ago (4_24_19) which is the rest of the photos with the broccoli!!!
