Jeannie's Deli — Restaurant in Lower Merion Township

Hello and Good Afternoon Google. I visited this spot because I was in the Ardmore area and I needed to eat breakfast. I needed a battery in my car remote and I went to the dealer to get it done. I met so many nice people when I arrived at Martin Main Line Honda. I googled breakfast places in Ardmore and this spot came up. I parked on a meter and then I went in. This reminds me of a quaint and intimate place. There is a seating area and a place in the back where you can leave your personal business card. I left about ten and put them in the slots that were on the wall back there. There were slots for about fifty businesses and their respective business cards. I wanted a menu to take with me so that I could take a picture and post on Google. They said that the menus would be ready later after they were printed. They had many food choices, but I decided on soup. Chicken Gumbo. I am eating light since I have to stay in shape as a Personal Trainer for Fitness After 50. There were two options: Large and a Small. I decided on the Large and then I decided on Take-Out. I sampled it in the car and it was a little too spicy for me. It was good, just too spicy. This is a nice little Deli shop. The sandwiches are superb. Beats making sandwiches of my own sometimes. They have a variety of little breaded treats as well. I did witness the old lady who harasses her husband by telling him that somebody named He freaks somebody named Me out. Sounds like she’s been cheating on her husband with this “He” to me. She probably reminds him whenever she gets the chance. The husband has probably been delusional about this for several years by now. If that is the case, her playback button must be on loop. I mention their relationship because he told her she is a delight, which made me chuckle because of the prefix and ironic circumstances at the time. At that rate, her heart is not going to be the only thing that gets broken. I’m just glad they didn’t attempt to go in the store to break and steal things while blaming someone else. This place used to be amazing when Jeanie was there. The new owners that took it over really butchered this place. Ordered a steak egg and cheese on a long roll which had no flavor at all and the roll was stale. It used to be very good. Girlfriend got a scrapple egg and cheese on a plain bagel. The bagel was the size of a lenders frozen bagel and tasted like it. The scrapple was like a thin piece of ham and very mushy. They used to have very good fresh bagels and the scrapple was thick and cooked perfectly. Nothing tasted the same. It’s a shame to see this place go the direction it is going. Went here for 20 years!
