Good morning ,afternoon, evening. So this review will hopefully set a precedent to curve the very well hidden socially enacted discrimination against many straight foundational born muscular (bigger sized)tattooed black men here in America. I’m sure if you are apart of , you have noticed been affected by or am currently experiencing. With that being said.
I’m leaving this review in addition to others to help curve the very obvious discrimination many other prolific black men have spoken on but to also help people save TIME.
In addition to the very annoying , loud and obnoxious rain bow mafia employee who works at this location as a host. Which I found to be very disturbing as this man was constantly staring at me for long periods of time. This is also something to watch out for. If you see one these individuals . Black men , it’s best to leave. If management subjects their patrons to the likelihood hood of such. They don’t value truest providing the best experience and most importantly they are looking to employ anything but you, a straight , muscular black male.
Next point, when your stared at very rudely by fellow black women in a place of employment your there seeking employment from, more than like likely now a days. Especially. Another red flag. Leave. The many facets that compose that logic are too long to list to I’ll digress for now however I’m sure you’ll notice the correlations. Simply keep living.
Lastly, when on an interview remember as a straight black muscular male. You aren’t allowed to display past moments of masculine transparent none passive aggressive behavior. Like asking other employees to work and not just watch you struggle, that will communicate to management your aggressive and a threat, especially if the co workers are white.
If you communicate that you are direct and speak on things immediately and accurately that will also communicate that you are , you guessed it. Threatening and aggressive.
My last interview I had was with a manager who appeared to be of African descent, which they compose one of the many genres of the common types of people who despise the American born muscular straight black male. I communicated the following, which in the prior interview when done w a manager of similar ethnicity was understood. Needless to say I didn’t get the job. So again this is to save your time.
God Bless fellow Black Straight men, let’s begin using these many mediums of technology to help each other succeed!
Also fellow black brothas stay strong mentally wake up and reaffirm ya self in the mirror every day because this system in America wants you to crack mentally. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re crazy or losing your grasp of reality! Stay strong and remember your find true peace and Glory in the 1611 King James Version Bible with the...
Read moreNothing against this location; I’m just not a fan of Olive Garden in general I guess. Tasted like the other OG’s I’ve been to— pasta overcooked and lacking texture, sauce too sweet like store bought sauce in which sugar is a main ingredient, cream sauces are too rich and lacking texture any subtle flavors like a homemade Al Fredo. In short, all of the good here tastes like it’s been created and prepared for what they think Americans want when they decide on Italian Food as opposed to simply making and serving authentic Italian food in which the simpler, the better is often a good rule to start with. I.E. a classic red sauce contains only 6 ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes (hand crushed and strained), olive oil (single source, Italian, virgin) fresh minced garlic, fresh finely chopped yellow onions, chopped parsley, and sea salt to to taste. Add olive oil to where it just covers bottom of saucepan, add onions and simmer over medium low heat until almost translucent, lower heat, add garlic and let cook over low heat until garlic is cooked but NOT BROWNED OR BURNT. Should only take a few mins and stir with a wooden spoon to aide in cooking evenly. Kitchen should smell divine by this point :) If you burn the garlic, even slightly, this will completely change the flavor profile of your sauce, basically ruining it, so you need to start over and be sure not to burn it second time around. Once your kitchen has that perfect smell, pour in your San Marzano peeled tomatoes that you’ve crushed gently by hand, leaving it your desired consistency and being careful to remove the tough brown area where the stem was attached. Nobody wants that in their sauce and it’s a bitter part of the tomato. Simmer lightly for 10 mins, stirring occasionally and add the finely chopped parsley which simply gives your sauce a brighter fresher taste. On very low heat to where you just get the occasional bubble or two every 30secs or so, cover sauce, but leave lid ajar or open enough do as not to let heat rise. Leave like that for 15 mins while you prepare your pasta. Salt your water for pasta and bring to a boil. Cook pasta to Al Dente which literally means “to the tooth” in Italian and is generally about 2mins less than instructions on box. Your pasta should slightly resist before yielding as you bite it. *Same as with the garlic, if you overcook your pasta, toss it, and recook your pasta. Once cooked al dente, drain, but DO NOT RINSE. The starches released from your pasta help your sauce cling to your pasta. Plate pasta, add a pat of butter or olive oil, spoon desired amount of sauce and ENJOY! Save your money and make this at home with Italian...

Shouting out server Khalil P. at the Olive Garden on City Ave as THE WORST SERVER I EVER HAD. This guy comes by with salad plates and places it so that I have to move my arm and didn’t say excuse me. He came flying by to place out drinks down one of which was wrong. When my friend tells him her drink is wrong he says “no it’s not you ordered xyz” to which my friend reply’s no I did not and had to show him on the menu. Again, unapologetic and then we waited halfway through our entrees for her to finally receive her drink. We asked for red pepper flakes among other things. He brings some of what we asked but not the pepper or an explanation. So when we get his attention again we ask a second time to which he reply’s “we don’t have any”. So we asked another female server on the floor and she went and got the pepper for us from the kitchen. So he lied to us for no reason. We had to ask for water when our salad and soup came because it wasn’t just presented to us when we sat down. When he brought the water he literally threw the straws down on the table. When my second drink order was taking too long he comes over unapologetically explaining how it is the bartenders fault and not his. Fortunately he sent the manager to our table without us having to ask because of the bartender but our grievance was with him. Thank you Ms Kelly for coming to speak with us. He was very rude when speaking to us asking us “are you done?” very aggressive and abbrasive. He left empty dirty dishes on our table the whole time we ate. Then when the check came and I was filling out a survey about him he stared at me the entire time. He brought us a check that hadn’t been comped due to the issues but we were just taking our time eating. And because I was taking so long to finish my entree he comes back to us with a comped check to say “is this what you were waiting for”. I felt like Mr Khalil P should be fired the entire time and I was thoroughly annoyed with his service. It was terrible start to finish when he decided to seat my party at the same time as another? I don’t know if that’s normal practice but each party before me got sat individually not in groups being dropped off at tables. He was the absolute worst. So he may need to be bumped to biased or dishwasher til he can get it together or he should be relieved of his server duties completely. Again thank you to Ms Kelly the Gm and the server who got us the...
