This Wawa (and the one on Conshohocken) are horrible if you use DoorDash or any delivery service. Wawa doesn’t invest in their West Philly locations (except for the one near manayunk) and it shows. Normally I would never rate a Wawa because I find them all to be great for gas, roadtrip snacks, and cup of coffee, etc. but I’ve had issues with Wawa and their partnership with DoorDash. DoorDash is already very flawed but that coupled with Wawa’s history of not providing delivery drivers with the right order is frustrating. Wawa makes the mistake but they’re not liable. So, you have to grapple with DoorDash customer service who act like you’re trying to access nuclear codes instead of being rightfully refunded your money for the mistake of the businesses they couple with (Wawa) and the drivers they employ. At this point I’ve probably lost around $30 (from Wawa alone in the last week) just in fees DoorDash would not recoup and for having to place new orders. Wawa says reach out to DoorDash, but DoorDash is awful and it’s just a waste of money, time, and energy. I hate it but I hate myself more for ordering from here again and continuing to lose my money. Now I know to never order delivery from Wawa (going in person is the only way in west Philly) and DoorDash has...
Read moreMost of the staff are super nice and helpful. Honestly, I struggled with the rating (I'm there 1-2 times a week for snacks, a hoagie, or cigarettes)...because like every Wawa, the quality of the Hoagies/Sandwiches continues to suffer as they try to make too much to appeal to too many customers. But I could live with that...the two major complaints are the parking lot and the patrons. The company needs to figure out a way to make the parking situation safer and easier. It's literally the worst WaWa parking lot in the country (won multiple years of polling) and I'm surprised more accidents don't happen given how shitty the location and configuration is (plus the idiots who for some reason, even if it's their first visit to this location)...decide sitting in the tiny lot for twenty minutes is a good idea. Additionally, because of this Wawa's location - proximity to Manayunk, proximity to the Main Line, proximity to City Live Avenue - every stereotype you can imagine or have ever heard of...it's here....from people that can't park, to loud people, to snobby people oblivious to the world, to people who take 30 minutes to order, to loud people, people not watching their kids, and more...so it's a real sea...

I stopped to pick up lunch three weeks ago, and the food preparer had his mask below his nose. I informed the preparer and a cashier, who rolled his eyes. So, I called Wawa's corporate office and lodged a complaint. I was told they would review masking requirements with their employees.
Last week, I stopped at the same Wawa for coffee, and one food preparer had his mask below his nose while two other preparers had their masks below their chins.
Last week there were 100,000 new emergency admissions for COVID in the US. Philadelphia is at high risk of community transmission. There have been ~288,000 diagnosed COVID cases, and 4,359 COVID related deaths.
I find it totally unacceptable for people to not wear or improperly wear masks, especially these people who were preparing food.
I called Wawa Corporate again and was told they would address the issue. I guess time will tell, but, in the interim, you may want to avoid the Wawa at Belmont in Bala...
