Beautiful place however I have to give 1 star due to the horrible customer service from someone who I assume was a manager? I arrived a few minutes before my friend to grab a table. She arrived at about 11:10 am and I proceeded to the Cafe. A woman, though pleasant, walked right up to me very closely and asked if I had the coffee. I stated I was headed to the cafe to try some. When purchasing our orders, I asked the cashier when/if the downstairs space may be open today. They stated that we could sit downstairs now, but only until the tasting began later this afternoon. I said thanks and we moved to the lower area.
After about 20 minutes and 5 or so staff walking by with no comment, the woman who approached me earlier walked up to my friend who was on a virtual call saying "You can't be here, you have to move" repeatedly and sternly. I tried to intercept as my friend was on a business conference call and informed her that we will move but that we were told we could sit here by the cafe staff. She left for 2 minutes or so and came back to continue berating my friend to move who was packing up her belongings while still on the call. Again I assured her we were moving but she continued to stand over my friend now stating that the table she was at was not for sitting and that she had to sit at another table in the lower area then walked away. After about 5 or so minutes we grabbed our food, drinks and belongings and moved outside. The woman watched us from inside the foyer area. When my friend finished her call, she went in to speak with the woman to share how this interaction could have been handled differently but she was unavailable.
As much as I enjoy coming to this place and the general service provided by those who serve and host, this womans brash behavior and unfriendly tone was a huge turn off for potential future visits and/or recommendations. This was my second time here and my friends 1st time. Even if we did take it upon ourselves to sit in the lower area (which we did not), there was a better way to approach paying customers than the...
Read moreI stopped by this café/plant shop because I love coffee and plants, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations.
The latte I ordered was pretty disappointing—it lacked flavor and tasted watered down, almost like black coffee with a splash of creamer.
The plant selection was okay, but nothing impressive. A lot of the plants were already potted in ceramic planters, but many of them felt overpriced, and the designs looked a bit tacky. The plants also didn’t seem as lush or vibrant as I would have hoped, especially given the concept of the shop.
The atmosphere wasn’t great either. All the plants and the coffee counter were crammed into one room, while the other rooms felt empty and lacked character—more like a cafeteria than a cozy café. I think spreading the plants throughout the space and creating seating areas surrounded by greenery could make the experience feel much more unique and inviting, like having coffee in a little indoor garden.
The staff, to their credit, were very kind and helpful, but I left feeling let down overall. There’s definitely potential here, but it needs a lot of work to deliver on...
Read morewent there Memorial Day weekend. The place is visually gorgeous. The music, atmosphere and ambiance were excellent. And the food, it didn't disappoint at all...it was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. In fact, i used OpenTable to make my reservation and left a note that I was vegan. They gave me suggestions based upon the note that i left when i made the reservation. You would think that other restaurants would do that but believe me they don't. They even offered drinks without the alcohol (given that we don't drink). Other restaurants COULD do the same but never inquire or ask...as a result, they lose out on those revenues). We had to eat inside due to the rain. However, the indoor décor was awesome. It would have been even better if we could have sat outside! This place is a gem whether you eat inside or out. I would give it a 6 if I could. My wife and our party thoroughly enjoyed it...in fact,...
