Found amidst other small businesses and shops in the heart of Bryn Mawr, Yamazaki Ramen might just be the cozy culinary hideaway your taste buds need. It's a modest space, sure, but what it lacks in grandeur, it compensates with a soul-warming embrace, a friendly nod, and bowls of ramen that could easily steal the show in any food lover's heart.

Now, let's talk about the star of our gastronomic journey--the Yamazaki Special ramen. This bowl is more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace on a cold day, a melody of flavors that sings a harmonious ode to traditional Tonkotsu ramen. With its rich pork-bone soup, tender roast pork, and an ensemble of bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, scallions, and a perfectly poached egg, it's a dish that doesn't just satisfy hunger; it nourishes the soul.

Alongside this noodle nirvana, we ventured into the realm of the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Here, we found a comforting assembly of sliced beef, onions, and pickled ginger atop a bed of rice, all gently hugged by a sweet dashi sauce. The seasoned boiled egg added a nice touch, though the dish played more of a supporting role to the show-stopping ramen. It's still a solid choice for those craving a bit of variety, offering a satisfying culinary experience.

Yamazaki Ramen stands as a testament to the joys of simple, heartfelt cooking. In this unassuming spot, you'll find dishes crafted with care, flavors that linger long after the last bite, and a reminder of the quiet power of a well-made bowl of ramen.

So, if find yourself in Bryn Mawr and in search of a quick & tasty bite, Yamazaki Ramen checks all...

my family and I been going here a while and always enjoyed our meals, but last time we were there we discovered that they do auto gratuity with larger parties. this wasn’t disclosed to us anywhere on the menu or by our waiter. our receipt total didn’t show the tip charge, it only showed a new total - this new total is almost a 22% auto gratuity. 22% is higher than a standard auto gratuity, so I think the restaurant should really reconsider that percentage. the worst part is the bottom portion asking for additional tip, and if you’re not paying attention then you may end up double tipping. my family and i have come multiple times before with the same party size of 6 and since we never realized the auto gratuity until this time, we’ve likely then double tipped. again, the food has always been great and was our go to for ramen in the area but the whole undisclosed tip situation just left a bad taste...

This restaurant is incredible! The service was so charming and prompt. I ate-in just myself and was given such great service for dining alone. I went with the potato croquette which was crunchy on the outside and smooth potatoes on the inside, with a savory sweet dipping sauce. I also ordered the spicy ramen which was just delicious! The broth was savory and rich with the perfect amount of heat from the spice. The pork was tender and the kimchi was fresh. The best part had to have been the noodles, perfectly textured and slurpable! I enjoyed them so much I ordered a second order for my remaining broth. You will NOT be disappointed coming to this restaurant! I left feeling so satisfied. The kind waitress said I was welcome to sit after my lunch and enjoy the rainy day....

Beautiful little eating area with very reasonable prices. The apps were very good, the onigiri and sausage were really enjoyable and priced fairly. The ramen was above average in quality, I liked the egg in my Yamazaki special ramen but the broth left me desiring something with a fuller flavor and thickness. It was slightly thicker than medium, despite looking very thick. The thick noodles in the tan tan ramen were excellent, but the broth itself was unappetizing to me. It tasted very earthy, and the spice in it was pretty generic. It felt tacked on, rather than integrated. I didn't like it much. Good spot for ramen if you're in the area, but for a little more travel, Terakawa and Hiro ramen win.
