Stayed at the hotel and went to this restaurant One time for dinner and two times for breakfast. To be objective, I’m going to separate the dinner service and the breakfast service. First of all the breakfast service. The servers were nice and attentive, and the breakfast was good when compared to every other breakfast restaurant. When it comes to certain plates like the avocado toast, do not expect to see a great dish. It was a very sloppy Avocado toast. The breakfast potatoes, the first time we had breakfast, Were undercooked And without flavor. The second time they were crispy very well seasoned and cooked perfection, so you guys need to find a way to be consistent since breakfast is way too expensive to have that inconsistency.
For the dinner service, my experience was very different. The area where we were seated, we were battling with nags and flies Getting in our food. The server seem like she was struggling with the tables she was waiting, and it took too long to bring anything to the table. And I need to clarify that I’m very patient.
We ordered the brisket sandwich with gluten-free bread And they served it with regular black bread and later told us that there was no gluten-free bread available. So we change the order to the salmon that took almost an hour to come out and we were already tired and leaving. Instead of canceling the salmon that took an hour to get to her table after their mistake, I had to pay for it and took it with me. When Tasting the salmon later that night It had no seasoning Whatsoever. Very disappointing for the price.
The rest of the food that we order was mid to good, But for a person that has dietary restrictions, I would probably stay away from this place. And I’m not saying that in a negative manner, but for the next two days that I went there for breakfast, I order gluten-free bread and after they took my order and we’re ready to serve. They came back telling me that they didn’t have gluten-free bread because the truck never arrived, made me think that they never had any free bread because for the last three days I was visiting that restaurant and they always had a problem with gluten-free bread. Perhaps they should consider telling that to their servers so they don’t waste peoples time and if someone wants to make the decision to just leave and go to somewhere else, they don’t have to wait until all the other orders are served.
Well, I know This was a long Review, but considering there are other restaurants close by that serves similar food I consider this to be closer to a three than four when compared...
Read moreJust had dinner to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Food was quite good. W(e started with spinach and artichoke dip and it was served in a delicious bread bowl with crispy pita chips. Daughter had fish and chips, husband had pot roast (which was a huge hunk of beef that was tender enough to pull apart with a fork) and I had tortellini alfredo with shrimp. (They were advertised as jumbo but were medium at best but even tho they were slightly overcooked, had very good flavor.) Now for the bad part and the reason I gave them a medium rating - I called 4 days ago to find out if we could bring our own dessert and if there was a plating charge. The girl I spoke with couldn't answer either question (she didn't know what a plating charge is) so took my name and number and said someone would call me back the next day. I'm still waiting for a call back. Their website advertises call ahead seating, but when I called 45 minutes before our arrival, Anthony told me they don't take reservations. I corrected him and reiterated why I was calling but he said he couldn't do anything about it but since it was only 3 of us we shouldn't have any trouble getting a table. Fortunately the receptionist was able to take our ice cream cake and put it in the freezer and we were seated immediately. Tariq was an excellent server, checking on us several times and removing used plates quickly and was very efficient bringing beverages and our meal. We will definitely go again as we really enjoyed the food and service after our arrival. Suggestion for management - make sure your staff is trained properly regarding what is acceptable (bringing own dessert for special occasions, etc) and explain what plating charge is and the difference between reservations and call...
Read moreThis is a decent little spot with its own private entrance, but it is located attached to the Sheraton hotel in Harrisburg was here for a holiday event, and the set up was kind of odd because it wasn’t total private, so we were there with some folks for the event, and then there was another area that was still open to the public it was a fixed food for the event so I didn’t actually get the opportunity to order anything off the menu what they did have was decent I can’t really say that it would be fair to judge the quality based on mass produced food, so what I had was good under the circumstances the environment was pretty cool typical for a Irish pop the staff and was really good and friendly and although there were a lot of people they did a pretty good job with slinging out drinks and they had a decent offering as well as there were tickets given to each Andy that we’re good for certain things and the wine that they had was actually pretty good wings were incredibly tasty as far as the taste of the sauce I personally would’ve liked to had them a little crispier but again under the circumstances of what they were being made I wasn’t able to specify type so they were. They did a really cute job decorating too much but enough, I have been here quite a few times over the years for the same event so I have them with the place and I can definitely say it’s consistent with everything above from...
