Avalon Coffee — Restaurant in Lower Township

Went here today because a client wanted some muffins ( I am a caregiver) I went there its a nice place its clean the one lady who waited on me i didnt even knew she worked there she wasn't dressed like she worked there she was waiting shorts and a short sleeve shirt which is fine because it's summer and hot but she had on slides instead of sneakers but the other woman worked there she had shorts tee shirt sneakers and a apron on which is how i thought it should i haven't been to an Avalon coffee in so long but the other thing that got me was she is wearing gloves to I guess clean and take money but not when she was handling the food she used paper but the muffins looked good don't say I would be back for me personally because I love Dunkin but for...

The owner’s son was in the store remote learning as usual. Today, the kid was coughing virtually the entire time I was in the store. Sometimes with a mask, often without. When I dared to say something to to the owner, she went ballistic on me and started screaming that he has asthma and “was running”. The coughing was happening long before he got up. He was running around behind the counter touching every surface in sight. She didn’t care in the least that her customers might be uncomfortable with rampant coughing from someone who spends all day in the store.

Place really went down hill over this last year. Different people every week working in the North Cape May location. Changed hands at least 3 times in the last year or so. Rip off prices. Used to get a fully packed sandwich. 1 piece of sausage, always mess up the order every time. I'm a regular who comes all winter long but will not come anymore. What is so hard about NO EGG! Just because they can't get stock in they are charging the price of a LARGE latte and giving out small cups. Every other coffee shop is giving out more coffer for the same price.
