One of our go to breakfast spots when down in Cape May County. Great variety of menu options that will satisfy most breakfast cravings. When eating breakfast, one of most important requirements is how quickly coffee is served and within moments of sitting, I was sipping my coffee. Usually get pancakes,, but have had other options on previous visits and that are always good. This visit was the Chocolate Chip pancakes and a side of bacon for me. More than enough food to fuel your morning. Servers are alway friendly and food is served hot and fresh. If in the Cape May Area, a place you won't be disappointed in visiting. With many conventional locations ( Cape May, North Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, and Avalon) ypu won't have to travel far. I visited Stone Harbor, North Cape May, and Cape May, and they have all been comparable for good food!
July 2023 Update - Uncle Bill's continues to knock it out of the park. Stopped in on a busy Saturday morning during prime vacation time. Parking lots were full, but with continuous turn around, we quickly found a spot. Despite crowd the wait time was minimal. There are a lot of tables with plenty of staff to keep the lines moving. Our recent visit, we ordered the Strawberry crepes, chocolate chip pancakes, and the two eggs, bacon, and pancakes combo. Good came put hot and tasty and we left full after a tasty breakfast. While I know the economy forced them to raise their prices, did notice that prices have gone up. This is pretty much across the board now and don't think you will find a place that has not raised their prices. Overall, a true 5 star experience. Definitely worth the drive for a great breakfast with so many different options that are available. Plus, a major bonus is they are still using plastic flexible straws. A five star experience can easily turn into a four star when restaurant use cheap paper straws that can't even last through a quick meal. For what it isworth, keep raising the prices but keep the straws and guys will...
Read moreUncle Bill's Pancake House is such an example of how American/diner kinds of breakfasts are simply the best. Eggs, hash browns, delicious hot cakes and more!
Bill's has multiple locations but we chose this particular location because it was closer to where some of our family was staying. We noticed that for a Monday morning it was really busy inside! Despite how chilly it was, we have been choosing outdoor dining just to be safe. The waitress, Mariah, was very friendly to serve outside despite the chillier weather. She was really attentive even though it was very busy inside and she was really friendly and accommodating with us even though we were outside.
We had a large menu to choose from which caused us to take a while to decide but ultimately my husband and I chose their breakfast special and their pancake platter special. Both came with either one or two eggs and a choice of meat and either hash browns or pancakes etc. We also ordered a stuffed french toast entree which came with a delicious cinnamon butter. I devoured my breakfast! It came with (imo) quintessential NJ diner pork sausages which I hadn't had in a long time during the pandemic. The rye toast was perfectly toasted and buttered. I chose the home fries but looking back now I'd swap my home fries for tots instead.
So, not a huge surpeise, their vegan options were lacking. My brother ordered oatmeal with fruit and and a side of tater tots but both portions were very large! The tater tots were super hot and crispy and stayed crispy down to the last bite (even though it was cold out and the tots cooled pretty quickly). We were impressed, haha.
You can't beat the huge portions sizes and the low cost for these entrees. It's just a wonderful (though gluttonous) time - you really just have to have an American style breakfast like at Uncle Bill's. We will...
Read moreUncle Bill’s Pancake House in Cape May is a breakfast gem that left us thoroughly impressed. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The menu offers a variety of breakfast options, but the standout items for us were the chocolate chip pancake and the toast omelette.
I opted for the chocolate chip pancake, which was nothing short of spectacular. The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly cooked, with a generous helping of chocolate chips and butter that melted in your mouth with every bite. They struck the perfect balance of sweetness, making it a treat that was indulgent without being overly rich. It’s evident that Uncle Bill’s takes pride in using quality ingredients and putting care into each dish they serve.
My friend chose the toast omelette, which was equally impressive. The omelette was light and fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients that provided a burst of flavor with each mouthful. The toast was perfectly crisp, complementing the omelette wonderfully. It was clear that attention to detail is a priority here, as every element of the dish was cooked to perfection.
The service at Uncle Bill’s Pancake House was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Despite the place being quite busy, our food arrived promptly, and the staff frequently checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.
In summary, Uncle Bill’s Pancake House in Cape May exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the overall atmosphere was inviting. We left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return. If you’re in the area and looking for a fantastic breakfast spot, I highly recommend giving Uncle Bill’s a visit. You won’t be...
