My family and I have found a new favorite in town. Definitely a hidden gem in Lubbock. The Beef Panang is absolutely fantastic, the fried wontons are crispy perfection, and the little chips that come free with any meal are addicting. Today, my wife and I felt like soup and decided to give the Beef Noodle Soup a try, and holy cow...I honestly just expected a "fine" comfort soup, but it was outstanding and very flavorful. My 8 yr old daughter even loved it.
My wife had the Pad Thai from here the other day and she said it was just "fine", but honestly, I think this place really just does any kind of broth/soup so well that it's not worth taking any stars away from. Stick to any of their soups, curries, etc and it will be fantastic (though I'm sure there are several non-soup dishes that are good as well). And all this is coming from a guy that doesn't do soup-type dishes very often, but they're just so flavorful and filling that I'm going to have to go back and try several of their other similar dishes, cause I have very little doubt that they would be any...
Read moreUnfortunately this was a No for me. I went in for Pho and it was the weirdest Pho I've ever had! When I got it I was so confused Like what the Pho is this??? The Beef is cooked! it had broccoli and cabbage in it! The noodles were cooked as well also very little Beef came with my order. There was no other meats to choose from like in authentic Pho you usually get thin strips of uncooked beef, tendon, tripe, or meatballs or all of these. There was no Bean Sprouts, Mint, Saw leaves, jalapeño or limes! I asked for Hossin Sauce and the guy at the counter said they didn't have any. I get my order and ask the girl who goes to her Dad and asks him and they did have some. If the guy at the counter would have just asked that would have been nice but he seemed more annoyed by my question. I added in the Sriracha and Hossin Sauce but it just did not taste good at all. The egg rolls were good. I was told that this place is really good so I will give it another chance but definitely won't be ordering Pho from here it's not...
Read moreMy husband and I visited the Resturant, and was very disappointed. From the reviews, and the crowd there at noon we really thought we would enjoy. But it was very bad. I ordered the pad thia. Which normally I love. But the tasted like burnt eggs, and left a bad taste in my mouth,( what I could eat). My husband ordered the spicy chicken and stated the only flavor it had was hot. The egg drop soup was so salty we could not eat it. I ask for some sweet & sour sauce and was given some clear vinegar flavored oil.. We were just so disappointed. I would like to suggest that if any of you are ever in Midland Tx, please go try the pad thia and spicy chicken at the “Thia Kitchen” just off of Andrew Hwy, behind Walgreens Drug Store. Then you will know how it is supposed to taste.. just...
