Thai Pattaya — Restaurant in Lubbock

Every time we have eaten here it has been fantastic. Best egg rolls in town for sure. Super crispy and packed full. We've had multiple curries and they're so rich and flavorful, the pad preow waan is full of surprising flavors with pineapple, celery, and cucumber in their better version of a sweet and sour sauce. The pad see ew is the best I've ever had and that's one of my favorite dishes to get at the other thai restaurants around town. They take as much care with the vegetables and tofu as they do with their meat. And we love sitting on their patio. We've had a lot of disappointment with local restaurants lately, especially paying such high prices for mediocre food. Thai Pattaya is is your favorite Thai food done in an exceptional way. I've been waiting for weeks for Thai Pattaya to open and it was worth it. They have papaya salad on the menu. As far as I know it's the only place in town where it's regularly available. It was very flavorful, crisp, and with enough spiciness I had a get a second glass of water.

I also ordered the pad kra pow. This was also very good. There was plenty of meat, peppers and onions all topped with a fried egg. Not to mention the generous use of basil.

It should also go without saying the steamed rice was perfect. Not pictured, the second helping of rice that came with the papaya salad.

If the owners are reading this, please don't change a thing. I'll be back to try more of the menu.
