Bigham's Smokehouse - 82nd St — Restaurant in Lubbock

Where do I begin with this.. Jessica whom says she is the store manager cursed me today when lodging a complaint over the phone after yesterday when they had cancelled a door dash order two hours after it was placed. This is sad because we love the food and today of all days it was not the day to travel to the store. Out of all the times in person or door dash this is the absolutely the only time we have been treated unkind or had a bad experience and for the supposedly manager Jessica to say THEN GET my butt in a car and drive to get the order made right that was delivered absolutely incorrect and horribly done not to mention they combined all the food into one backing pan.. not sure why you would have done that but to then make the entire order a mess by adding cheese and butter and sour cream when it was told in two places not to and correctly ordered and printed and then get pissed off and then at first refuse to take the call and had a staff member keep asking me what the issue was and what did I expect them to do about it and then when I demanded to speak to manager instead of hearing her tell the girl what to say to me she answered the call angry and already out the gate rude. Then claimed there was no store manager then she claimed she was the store manager. I am just not getting todays work force and or in an market of food how you think you can treat people like this at any business but especially in the food world and trust I know the food world been a part of it from the lowest to the top in the last 35 years so spare me how anyone can think this will not harm a company in the long run. I thought long and hard about this review because I did speak to a very professional and extremely nice gentleman at the sister store down the street and he was amazing. He even offered to have his store make the food correct and he would personally deliver it to my door. Now that is going the distance for a customer and the kind of way a manager should be. So that shows me that the company as a whole does not conduct themselves like this, and not their standard of practice. I am not a Karen type that wants to see this lady fired. In todays world it is hard to find employment no matter what people claim. What I do want her to have to do is learn even take a class watch a few HR video on how to handle situations. Horrible!! This is the third time I have taken out from the Bigham’s restaurant chain (2 from the south side and once from the north restaurant). You know what they say about “third times.” Each time they have missed part of the order, and I’m not talking about a side of pickles or dessert, They miss 1/2 lb. portions of meals. Smh! For being in a time when the world has seemed to slow down, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, and local businesses hurting for local support, it’s shameful that they don’t aim for exceptional service, especially with the local competition out there. I did get a refund and they wanted to take my name for a future free meal, but that’s the last risk I want to take, leaving my name for a free meal after voicing my dissatisfaction with their services. I don’t will them or their employees ill will, but I expected more from an establishment during these difficult times....

They lose a star for being not exactly friendly as far as their service goes but they do slice and dice that meat mighty fine. The people saying that you don’t get what you pay for have NO idea what they’re talking about. This is one of the better food/cost ratios in town and definitely one of the better BBQ joints. I found the sauce to be a little acidic for my liking, lacking in depth and body but other than that the rub on this brisket itself was excellent. My wife’s smoked sausage sandwich had a pretty good flavor too. The interior is Texan through and through, typical of a BBQ place in this area and is thereby very homey and comfortable.
