China Wok — Restaurant in Lubbock

There are only four or five meals I can recall that were too awful to finish. I just had one of them. China Wok is, as expected these days, a cookie cutter operation. They have the same frozen items, refried and baked, as every other lower quality Chinese restaurant. This said, I do not know how they managed to make this prepackaged food taste so badly. I ordered Shrimp, Lo-Mein, and the Sampler Appetizer. It started off by opening the brown paper bag the food was delivered in. The bag smelled of fish. Most of the items on the appetizer were extremely overcooked/burnt. The eggrolls inside were soggy on the inside and extremely salty. The fried shrimp was UNDERcooked, pale, and smelled like it was left out. The Lo-Mein noodles were extremely overcooked to the point that they mushed into a paste, like mashed potatoes. The pork, beef, and chicken in the Lo-Mein were all completely unseasoned and covered in a white, fat of some sort. It was so disappointing to spend nearly $40 to have this junk delivered. Take note that I do no have many reviews on my account. This culinary insult forced my hand.

In reference, I order delivery through Little Panda, Uncle Chien's, and China Express. I have not found a decent Chinese restaurant in Lubbock, but these other places are tolerable. China Wok is a disgrace. Places like this shouldn't be...

I ordered the shrimp lo mein and moo shoo pork via Uber eats, and unfortunately the shrimp lo mein was hands down the WORST I have EVER had in my 30 years on this planet. It tasted like it was cooked with stale peanut or canola oil, or possibly just old and reheated—when I reported this to Uber eats I was told that quality issues must be taken up directly with the restaurant. I called China Wok and reported this issue, and was very flippantly told to take it up with Uber eats instead of replacing the food item in question. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT, their customer service is atrocious and their food is 2/5 stars on a good day. Unbelievable. I’ve had better Chinese food in West Virginia.

Update: In addition to the inedible “lo mein,” they also provided dried-out pancakes to accompany the tasty (albeit overly salty) moo shoo pork. But worst of all, there wasn’t a single fortune cookie with my order. I have never ordered Chinese food before and not received a handful of fortune cookies. China Wok failed to include even one. Ordered dinner and after an hour and a half it still wasn't delivered, called and without even verifying who I was (online order my phone wasn't listed) the cashier says "he is on his way already" 20 min later it's still not delivered so I drive the 3 min to the store and she has the nerve to lie to me again and say he tried to deliver but no one answered the door , I had been sitting next to the door with it wide open for the last 2 hours. Rather than admit any fault or even try to get me my food she just kept telling lies and never once tried to get me my food while I was in the store... the sad part is their delivery driver was siting on a bench by the door as I walked in.... worse than bad service they lie to you and insult you as if your an idiot.
