Well I wish I could get it more of the higher rating because the coffee is absolutely delicious and my server Jake was awesome. But when it came time to pay is when it went this place went downhill for me. So isn't the customer within reason usually right? Absolutely not here! For a bean and cheese burrito cup a coffee and a hot chocolate, over $12! Excuse me really! According to my ticket I should have been paying around $7.50 plus tax. I told her that was pricing and incorrect as she immediately argued and told me menu prices are not what you're actually charged for certain items, such as the hot chocolate unless you set there and drink it at their table in their coffee cup. well I had just left their table . I politely ask for the manager and the lady rudely snapped at me she was the owner and proceeded to make a big deal about the young man not knowing his prices to another woman! Again clearly stated right there on the menu?! No other prices or rules for anything else are given So rather than let me go ahead and keep the med sized h pop t choc that I had already been drinking out of and complimenting No Doubt and even after I explained to her it was for my autistic 13 year old who had never had Mexican hot chocolate and was very excited to be getting it, she took it from my hand handed it to the other lady and told her to take in back into the kitchen and to pour it into the tiny cup 4oz and charged me $2 and had the rest of my autistic son's hot chocolate poured down the drain rather than let him have it. More argument over extra cheese that was on top of the thinly filled bean burrito that had no cheese in it as advertised in the translated as owner sees fit menu. And I ordered that and ate it at the table. Well it still cost me $9,00! So the food was not good I've had way better hot chocolate in my life, but the coffee was really delicious. So needless to say I won't be back for the food or hot chocolate....
Read moreFirst i want to say i do not have anything personal against this restaurant. It is an honest review of my experience here. The restaurant has a light airy, inviting feel. The prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent. But the food is disappointing with its lack of flavor. An avacado salad arrived with a tablespoon of avacado on a bed of lettuce and tomato. A LOT of lettuce and tomato. A PLATTER of lettuce and tomato, and no FLAVOR. No dressing of any type, just raw lettuce and tomato. Cold food was cold and hot food was hot, but everything was bland and no amount of salt changed that. A moderate amount of grease is the key to great tasting tacos. The tacos were completely missing any moisture of any kind. The rice was seasoned differently from what you normally taste. It wasnt bad, but it wouldn't bother me to never have it again. The enchiladas were hot and cheesy and great tasting, but the beef inside was just filler with no taste at all by itself. The beans were outstanding! The restaurant is also a Mexican bakery with some nice baked goods. Overall, come here for your bread, donuts, and Mexican treats at the bakery, but sadly, i cannot recommend coming here to eat. The food will be properly hot and filling, but everything is too...
Read moreThe service was nice but the food was terrible they use processed tortillas, the carne guisada had more fatty unchewable parts than meat itself, I thought our burritos would 've been made fresh, but they were sitting prewrapped in a warmer making the "tortilla" mush to itself.... NOW as for the baked goods the conchas are over baked and the cookies were hard enough to be compared to stale..... over all once again the experience was horrible and definitely the last time we will be coming to visit. I RECOMMEND this...
