Took my family and some friends for the first away Tech game vs Utah (11am game). They are not from Lubbock so I wanted to show them a cool place to watch the game. Let me first start off by saying that our waitress was great. She checked on us often and had drink orders quickly and correctly. However, the food/kitchen was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a bar/restaurant. We ordered 2 chips and queso appetizers for the table, then 3 of us ordered sliders. This was about 10 minutes into the 1st quarter when we placed our food order. Vibes were good, Tech fans were happy, drinks were great. Halftime rolls around. We are starting to all get hungry so I politely asked our waitress to check on our food order. She came back and said that the kitchen was backed up and that she would keep checking for us. Fast forward to the start of the 4th quarter. Still no food, no appetizers. I am pretty pissed at this point, and I feel bad for the waitress because I can tell she is flustered and is getting nonstop complaints from people. I decided to go to the source this time and ask the kitchen. 2 and a half hours and we couldn’t even get our chips & queso? They told me the same thing, rudely said that the kitchen is backed up and food would be out shortly (which is what I heard an hour ago). I am fuming at this point, not even wanting food anymore. They finally bring out the appetizers, and I kid you not, there was the smallest amount of chips on a paper plate that I had ever seen. I am almost laughing at this point. And I am very angry. So I walked the chips up to the kitchen and said “does this look acceptable for a family who just waited 2 and a half hours for an appetizer to come out?” They gray haired dude with a ponytail sarcastically laughed in my face and threw another handful of chips and the plate as if he did it on purpose in the first place. I really like the setup and vibes of the place, but the food service was absolutely terrible. Not just bad, but worst ever. Get it together. That is unacceptable. I could have driven to Plainview and sat down at a restaurant, ordered, ate, and drove back to Little Woodrow’s in Lubbock and still not have my simple appetizer. That is embarrassing service....
Read moreThis is our second time visiting this newly opened bar. First time was the second day of opening. The second time was a Monday The place itself is very attractive and fun. In regards to the service, it is very selective. If you are not a friend nor loud it takes long periods of time to get any acknowledgement. Before starting to detail my experience, the manager did listen to the concerns and was receptive towards it.
My husband and i had been waiting for this place to open. We don’t expect royal treatment but a simple hello, a smile and a question “what can I get you guys tonight” is just enough. It took approximately 5min to get any acknowledgement. The day was Monday, approx. 5-8 bar staff. We usually tip around $5 per drink. We don’t drink beer (nothing wrong with that, just to get an idea of how much we usually spend a night.) Just mixed drinks and shots. Only one girl took time from looking into space and playing with her bottle opener to finally serve us our first drink. After that, we witnessed a bartender give out shots to her friends and was extremely nice to the people on our right. Yet she never asked if we were ok (my husband had only ice left in his cup). Not one smile, not one hello. We enjoy good vibes at bars and clubs. Even Vegas strip clubs give you the BEST service. We thought because it being Saturday and second day opening, the late acknowledgement was reasonable. Yet we got there before 10pm on a Monday night, with a smaller crowd still to be ignored. The manager did hear us out and was extremely positive. After that, the treatment just felt forced. We don’t ask for much, just good ol’ customer service. We Will go again, and hopefully it’s a more positive experience...in which I will definitely write an...
Read moreLast Saturday, on 12/15, my wife and I visited Little Woodrow's Lubbock, which was the first time. I would say, the food and service was pretty good, HOWEVER, do not give them a Debit, or Credit card. Well, I already reported Little Woodrow's Lubbock to the Lubbock PD, and next the FBI I was going to reach out to the manager, but I will let the authorities handle this. If you are the owner, DM me. I would put my number in here, but not a good idea. I actually left a business card for you there, as I am a musician, that would love playing there, but I doubt you got it. To the girl that thinks she is smarter than all, well you screwed up last night, cause at first I thought you were using my card info to pay for friends drinks, so if we looked through all of the transactions, and that's what the Authorities would be looking at, they probably wouldn't see it, at a glance. The Amazon, attempted, purchase leads me to believe that you could be claiming it as a tip, but in the way it is done, which I am sure it is on a work computer, makes me look at the fact that you have to have certain access, kind of like a manager. I guess we will soon find out how many people you have been doing this to. If anyone else is reading this, and feel like the same thing happened to you, then you can also DM me, and I will give you the Case#, and the detectives phone number. I actually liked the place, and it sucks that this happened. Normally, I always pay in cash, but I gave them my card, cause I screwed up and didn't go to the ATM. Won't ever make that mistake again, and trusting the...
