Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience with Parry’s Pizza for a recent catering order. We placed the order on Tuesday for a Saturday event and were told it was too late to schedule delivery, so we arranged pickup instead—which is always stressful on an event day.
The day before the party, I called to confirm the order was in their system (as I always do for events). The staff member hung up on me the first time, and when I called back, the employee refused to verify the order verbally. She kept repeating, “I’ll tell my manager,” and tried to hang up again. I had to insist, “No ma’am, can you please verify the order is in the system?” and only then was I given reassurance. That kind of interaction was very frustrating and unprofessional.
When we called to order originally, we had kindly asked if we could borrow pizza racks and have the pizzas cut into squares for my son’s Minecraft-themed party. Both requests seemed to stir up frustration. They could have simply told us “no” and we would have made other arrangements without issue. Instead, it felt like we were a burden for even asking. We do understand they have a limited amount. However customers shouldn't have to feel this way just for asking.
On pickup day, I sent my father since I was busy with the event. He arrived about 30 minutes late due to party prep, and the staff was very upset, complaining about keeping the food warm. He was also repeatedly reminded that we “better bring the trays back.” While I understand policies, the way it was handled felt unnecessarily harsh. The manager also said he called me multiple times ( mind you im getting ready for my sons party), which seemed to upset him. I find that interesting considering how their employees dont answer the phone all the time, hang up the phone, and speak rudely to customers.
As an event planner here in town, I work with many restaurants for catering orders and have never really had an issue like this. We eat at Parry’s often and even know one of the managers/owners personally, which made it even more disappointing to be talked down to and treated so rudely during a fairly large catering order.
For comparison, we also ordered catering from Walk-On’s for the same party, and their main manager personally delivered the food across town for free, refused a tip, and was incredibly kind. He even remembered and personally wished my son a happy 6th birthday. That contrast in service really stood out.
I hope this feedback helps Parry’s improve their catering service, because the food itself was great—it was just the customer service this time that left...
Read moreWe waited 15 mins at the front waiting to be seated, there was not more than 12 people in the place that has room for 60 to sit at. The young lady with glasses proceeded to seem as if she didn't want to be there. No smile or greeting. The gentleman Ivan, came and greeted us, had us seated and menus. Was very friendly. He showed good manners and was very respectful and clear in communicating. After being seated, we waited 15 more minutes to have a a server come to our table to get us started with our drinks. The server was kind as well, her name Keanuna she showed great leadership and seemed to be handling alot of the server portions of the establishment. After getting our drinks, we waited 10 more minutes for thr servers to change out. Our next server Erica, showed great enthusiasm to be kind and quick to take care of us. She brought our food, and handled every request on a timely matter.
The food was good, I ordered the pizza, burger, wings, and fries. The pizza was 6 out of 10 Burger was 5 out of 10 Wings were 5 out of 10 And the fries were 6 out of 10
The establishment has a great collection of beer. The margaritas were flavourful but seemed to be virgins, which is fine, but if you're wanting more alcohol, make sure to get a double.
The establishment was clean and had a great atmosphere.
Thank you for the experience, just felt with how many employees we seen there to the ratio of people and how long it took for service didn't fall into retrospective of why it took so long and why there needed to be so many employees when only a few seemed to be attentive and actively making sure customers were...
Read moreVisit on 8.2.4. I got an app of the meatballs, and it was pretty good. I ordered the bolognese(meat sauce) spaghetti. I was disappointed as the sauce hardly had any meat in it, for I don't know, a meat sauce. Especially compared to the reg sauce that a coworker got. It was just ok. I tried a slice of pepperoni pizza from another coworker, and it was just ok. I git the fried dough for dessert and it was pretty good. It's a large amount, so it's definitely sharable. It would be nice if they had an individual size too vs a sharable size. Nothing food wise, really jusr popped here. I really expected the pizza to be great since that's in their name, but meh. Several in the group got the pretzel and beer cheese app and enjoyed it very much. I saw Gnats mentioned, and I saw a couple flying around our food. The atmosphere isn't bad and it is on the louder side but it is a bar with TVs everywhere for games, so to be expected just know that going in. There was a nice outside seating area as well. They did sit 8 of us guys on a table that is maybe made for 6 adults, so we were crammed together and not much space to enjoy the food. Something to think about if coming in a large group. All in all, I can't recommend it, especially for food. But if a few people want to drink and watch sports, it's not a bad place to put on your radar and try. Not for me,...
