Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Lubbock

I wanted to try this place in the morning before rating as the evening run was pretty gross. I loaded up this morning (6:20 am). 3 diff rolls, fritter, dozen mixed and a large coffee almost close to 35 bucks. Starting with the cream cheese rolls I got a strawberry and a blueberry and it has SO MUCH wierd gelled topping on top, no icing no glaze but I assume what they use for filled donuts plopped on top like a inch thick yet the cinnamon roll had barely any glaze lol like what?? Fritter had to weigh atleast 2 pounds very thick dense and heavy. Taste wise I couldn't with any of the rolls or fritter. Ick... I hope the family can. The donuts well they are just kinda wierd not bad but not good. I had one glazed and Texture is squishy foamy. If you pinch it, it goes right back to shape🤣 like a squisy ball. The taste is well squisy and foamy but overly sweet in a wierd way. Had high hopes the coffee was legit but you could cut it with a knife EXTREMELY thick and bitter as all get out. I put the one cup in my pot at home and added water almost ended up with a full pot of coffee lol and I like strong coffee. But DAYUM. Well I really do hope this place makes some adjustments and hangs around, and I'm sure they have a following but it is a HARD PASS for us. Also the Indian lady at the drive thru wasn't...

Ordered several boxes of donuts through Shipley’s website and when I went to pick up the donuts they were completely out of donuts and had maybe three flavors (none of which I ordered) which was fine and I asked for my order to be cancelled. I was told that Mark was going to refund my order the next day when he went in. It has now been two weeks and I still have not heard from Mark or gotten a refund. Was then told Carlos would be refunding my order and still no call or action from Carlos. I have called multiple times a day to both Lbk locations to speak to either Carlos or Mark and the phone does not get picked up.

The only positive interaction I have had has been with Shantel. She is the only employee at either location that will pick up the phone and that is trying to help remedy the situation. Although she hasn’t been there long she is showing more customer support than either of...

This morning I stopped to pick up a kolache and a couple of donuts. Although they had been open for a while, there were only a few donuts to choose from. I passed on the donuts but ordered a kolache. The kolache was a good 4.5 inches in diameter. After 4 bites into the gummy dough, I had still not reached any of the filling. I broke it open and discovered they had only put less than a tablespoon of filling in the kolache. Really? This is a $4.00 kolache. There have been several other incidents with this store that are similar to other posts. Let me just say this: I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO SHIPLEY DONUT ON 19TH STREET.
