I walked in and the guy just said I cant allow you in here. I pointed at my hat and said is it because of this. Jokingly. It was just a cowboy hat. Blink and you'll miss it. My wife and I were in town for the latter part of the week and were really wanting a good cocktail. Something better than what your standard restaurant bar can offer. On the recommendation of an employee at the restaurant where we had dinner, we found this place. There's no signage so keep your eyes peeled for the single door entrance on the face of the brick building. The ambiance, service, and drinks were AWESOME. Shotgun Sue’s is a super cool place. I love the vibe, drinks are clever and artisan. I had the old fashioned and Scuzi. Scuzi is their take on a chilton and uses lemoncello instead of squeezes all the lemons which is clever. I expected it to be sweet like lemoncello but it was not. The old fashioned used Buffalo Trace as the well, which impressed me. The bartender and I chatted about our favorite bourbons to sip and she knew her stuff.
