Zach at The Brass Tap Lubbock: A Masterclass in Service & Deliciousness! āāāāā Wow. Just⦠wow. My recent visit to The Brass Tap in Lubbock was nothing short of phenomenal, and a HUGE part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Zach. This guy isn't just a server; he's a hospitality maestro, making sure every single aspect of our dining experience was top-tier, tell him your favs and he'll serve it up to perfection, from apps to drinks, and everything in-between. We kicked things off with an appetizer spread that was pure perfection. The pot stickers were crispy, savory, and cooked to absolute perfection ā easily some of the best I've ever had. And the loaded tater tots? Oh. My. Goodness. A mountain of golden, crispy tots piled high with all the beer cheese and fixings, they were the ultimate comfort food done right. But then came the boom boom shrimp, and let me tell you, they lived up to their name! Perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of kick from that fantastic sauce ā I could have eaten a whole plate by myself. But the true star of the show (besides Zach, of course!) were the wings. We ordered a variety, but the brown sugar bourbon rub was an absolute game-changer. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and that rub⦠it was a symphony of sweet and savory with a perfect hint of bourbon. Seriously, if you go to The Brass Tap, you HAVE to try those wings. They are addictively delicious. And just when we thought things couldn't get any better, Zach introduced us to the legendary pineapple shots. Oh. My. Goodness. These weren't just shots; they were little bursts of tropical sunshine in a glass. So incredibly yummy and refreshing, they were the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Zach truly went above and beyond, suggesting these delightful treats and ensuring our glasses were never empty, our questions were always answered, and our spirits were always high. Zach's attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and genuine enthusiasm for the menu made our evening truly memorable. He navigated our table with ease, offered fantastic recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. Heās the kind of server who elevates a good meal into an extraordinary experience. If you're looking for fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond, head to The Brass Tap in Lubbock and ask for Zach. You won't be disappointed! This place, and Zach, deserve all five...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed. My boyfriend and I had come to eat here maybe 3 weeks ago and we really enjoyed everything so we decided to come back and try some other menu items we had looked at. We came tonight (friday so it was a little busy but it slowed down almost immediately after we walked in) and I was really upset by both the food and service. The manager was serving us and he seemed very uninterested. We sat for maybe 5 minutes before anyone came up to us. We ordered an appetizer, the potstickers, and it was the only thing that came out hot and the only think we actually enjoyed. We ordered the 10 count of wings and the manager only brought out 9 and then walked away. When i finally got his attention and mentioned the missing wing, he said that the kitchen had miscounted and he was bringing out another one. Which was fine but the wing came out cold as well. The garlic parmesan and the asian chilli sauces we got on the wings both tasted strange. We got the steak nachos as well and they were cold. Not even lukewarm, COLD. I told the manager and he just reheated our plate so when we finally got them they were soggy. For the amount we paid for this food I was expectingā¦. better. And not to mention that I had to flag down our server (the manager!) everytime we needed something! Overall I am very disappointed, especially since we were so excited to try new stuff after our first visit was so pleasant. Donāt know if weāll be back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe choice of drinks is great here. My husband loves IPA's and they have several on draft. They also offer flights, which is a fun way to sample several. Their food, however, was a disappointment. We ordered the fish and chips and we're told they were out of fries....ok....1. No fries means you don't have fish and chips. 2. Clearly that means their fries are frozen because otherwise you could slice up a potato and make them. Then we ordered the pizza. I asked if it was thin crust to which the server responded that yes it was thin. Wrong. It was thick crust and again was most probably from frozen....it certainly wasn't a scratch made crust. I felt the food was also expensive for what it is. The space is really nice and the beer is great and we'll return but only for drinks and maybe a shared appetizer. The pizza basically tastes and looks like supermarket frozen pizza and based on the fact that their fries are obviously from frozen too it makes me question whether any of their food, which is pretty pricey, is actually...
