Keeper's Fish Shack — Restaurant in Ludington

We have visited Keepers Fish Shack several times and the food has always been the best! The fish is hot and well seasoned. Each “tackle box” meal comes with fries, homemade coleslaw, fish of your choice and two homemade hush puppies. They also have several seafood dips and even chicken strip for the non fish eaters. You can grab a drink as well from a large assortment of bottled or canned beverages like pop, water, beer, or hard cider. The food is served “to-go” style as there is no indoor seating. However, you can sit in the James St plaza picnic area right outside the restaurant or take your meal to the nearby Ludington Beach or Marina park. Can I click the 5 star twice and give it a 10/5? Wish that was an option, because it is worth it. I have had everything except the Mahi Mahi, and Calamari that is on the menu. The calamari because I just can't bring myself to try it again, had it once years ago while down on the Gulf Coast and let's just say... my mind refuses to let the phrase "I'll have the calamari" leave my mouth ever again. Eathing on the plaza in downtown Ludington is always fun, and Keeper's is definitely a great addition ... and a KEEPER! They were very polite and when asked what was recommended gave an honest opinion. Had the perch and must say it was amazing. Breading was just right and the fish practically melted in your mouth.
