First of all this location is normally very good, so I was surprised to have this particular experience. I went with a co-worker to get breakfast on 6/1 around 6:30 a.m and told the person working the drive thru that I had two seperate orders, which was taken fine. We pull up to the window and after I asked about some jelly and a side of honey mustard she kept going off about how the side of sauce would be 53 cents extra, this is the first time they've ever charged for sauce which I thought was odd they were so worried about now, but whatever (She did forget the jelly in the midst of this) so she swiped my card and gave me both bags. Which I thought was off considering the second order wasn't paid for, or so I thought. The other person wanted sauce too so she took his card and swiped it for a grand total of 53 cents. Confused at this point at not thinking the second order was paid for we drove off. Now to the food, I guess they had not been very busy that morning, because the biscuit and fries tasted like and had the quality of something that was cooked 45+ minutes prior, most likely at or shortly after opening at 5, and had been sitting under heat lamps until I ordered. I've never had such poor food quality from this location. But the true issue of this, come to find out later that day when I checked my bank that she swiped my card for BOTH orders. First of all when I said there was TWO seperate orders who in their right mind would think that they were being paid for by the same person, as everything would just be on one order at that point. Well at least common sense to most people it would indicate two seperate payments. But this lady was so concerned about charging extra for some sauce that it affected her ability to function and do her job correctly. Even worse is she seemed like a team lead or manager of some sort, which makes her screwup that much worse. Now I've got to try to get my money back from someone who I don't know that well as they're new to working with me and hope they send me the money for their order, all because the lady working the drive thu was too incompetent...
Read moreI went in on 10/3/21 at 5:44pm to place a togo. There was a lady who had already waited over 20 mims on her order. There was another couple whod waited clise to 30 minutes they said. My order however did not take long at all. I ordered a kids tender meal for my daughter. They were out of mac n chz. It was right at dinner time, why would they be out of mac n chz? Busy time of wvening. Seems they would have had plenty for dinner rush. My daughter bit into her chicken tender & said it was hard, so I tried a bite. It was extremely hard! Almost like trying to chew grissle, very rubbery. It was not good at all. I'm surprised bc I've never had bad chicken from BoJangles. Her french fries were hard & greasy as if they had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. They were seasoned well, just bad texture. She didn't eat any of it except the biscuit which was good. So I basically paid $4.79 for a biscuit & kid tea. The employees at this location seemed totally clueless as to what they were doing! All the guests waiting were just watching them & looked at everyone & just shook their heads saying "this is ridiculous" they were standing around & seemed SO confused with what to do. One female employee was standing there scratching/patting the side of her head, with NO gloves on nor wash her hands, then goes straight in to pick up a piece of chicken with that same hand. I'm very observant & notice small things like this. One employee was putting pinto beans into a container with the juice & beans dripping down the side of the container & bagged it up as so. It was a disappointing visit to say the least. We usually visit one of the Bojangles in Greer which we never encounter a problem. Was passing by store 12227 West Greenville Hwy, Lyman SC. We will probably not return to this location. It was busy & one employee had to "step outside" bc she had a phone call. I'm not sure if they are short staffed or what (they appeared to have a good amount of people working) but the ones that were working this shift should probably receive a little...
Read moreThere was a METAL SCREW in my son’s chicken and rice bowl!! Thank goodness I had decided to eat the last little bit so that I was the one who bit into the screw and caught it in between my molars before swallowing it!! This could have gone very badly! The worst part was I called twice to discuss with the manager first as I work for corporate for a National franchise. I was put on hold and hung up on. I called back and said I still need the manager as it’s urgent and I told the girl what it was about. She said he didn’t have time to talk to me. I sent my husband up there with my receipt and the screw I’d spit back in the bowl. He said he couldn’t do anything about it. He then refunded him $7.62 for just the bowl vs the $34 order, and that was not even the cost of the bowl as we had done the $3 upgrade for double meat! This was a slap in the face after something so dangerous and negligent and to show zero empathy or concern for their lack of caution prepping food is unacceptable. We could’ve ended up in the ER tonight praying we could stop the damage and remove a SCREW, yet we were blown off completely with zero accountability! This place needs to be reviewed by DHEC. I also have my receipt photos and would like to be contacted by the franchisee...
