A fun, clean, family-friendly atmosphere, even from a distance, had my son and I loop back here after walking the hills. The sign, which mentioned beignets, was what hooked us, I think. The bright, smiling human behind the counter greeted us warmly and asked if we had been there before. We explained that it was our first time, and she kindly introduced their many varieties of toppings and drizzles for cinnamon rolls. There were traditional presentations of the classic cinnamon roll and many fabulous banana split style toppings. If you've ever been to Duck Donuts or VooDoo donuts, it's a smart take on that idea: A classic pastry tuned up for presentation and over-the-top indulgent flavor. We had coffee, juice, and cinnamon rolls, saving the beignets for some other time. Mine was a PBJ take, and his featured hazelnuts? Pralines? We loved them. Grab from the plentiful pile of napkins, forks, and knives, you'll need them. We ate out on the patio and watched some hungry wanderers approach and others leave full. The food was fun, a special treat, but the real shining star of this place was the service. The front line help was attentive, explanatory, welcoming, hard-working, and kind. Give that...
Read moreThe man that had a chef jacket on was very helpful. When I walked in, there were no other customers. The ladies behind the counter said hi but nothing else. I asked are those the only cinnamon rolls you have? She said yes. I had never been before so I was looking at the menu boards to try to figure out why a place with the name cinn city had so few cinnamon rolls and a bunch of containers with candy. I though they must sell ice cream or something. Finally the man asked if I had ever been before and I said no, he explained everything. You get a plain cinnamon roll and then select what kind of frosting like cream cheese or maple or peanut butter or pumpkin...they have tons of flavors...then you can also choose a topping like apples and bacon if you want. They have some favorites to help if it's too overwhelming. The man was very helpful. The girls were friendly just need some training on how to be helpful in my opinion. I almost walked out and I would have missed out on a fantastic cinnamon roll!! I thought the price was very...
Read moreWe are so happy to have found a bakery that offers gluten friendly cinnamon buns, they are fantastic with dairy free vanilla icing they offer as a complement. The service can be extremely slow and not always friendly. The last few visits the bakery items were stale and harder to chew than usual so perhaps call ahead to find out when freshest. The coffee was hot but is on par with Sheetz and a bit weak and disappointing. Cinn City has a great product when it’s at its best and we enjoy the outdoor patio space. However the lack of good strong coffee to enjoy with it makes takeout a better option to enjoy at home. We would love to see more staff at a time to provide faster service and stronger different coffee brew even if it means paying a little more. This is a great local business and we will be back if quality becomes...
