Upper Crust Pizza — Restaurant in Lynchburg

Lemme tell yall about the wonderful experience we had with Upper Crust.

Last night we ordered three large pizzas + a GF pizza at 7:15 for an event. The gentleman that answered the phone (Luke) was VERY nice. The order was accurate and ready on time, and it was good pizza! Then, at 7:45 we realized we hadn’t ordered nearly enough. We called to place an order for 3 more large pizzas, not realizing that the store closed at 8. Luke answered the phone again and was happy to take our order, politely informing us that they closed soon.

When I arrived to get the pizzas, I apologized for ordering so close to closing time— Luke was there and reassured that it was no problem at all, and asked how we’d enjoyed the pizzas from the first order. Then, when our food was ready, (because I’m in a sling) he even offered to carry them out to my car for me!

We received top-notch customer service last night— nothing particularly special happened, but every interaction was just so pleasant. Luke was SO kind— he kept a huge smile on his face. He not only was unbothered by us ordering so close to closing, but seemed happy to do it. I hope this review is seen and that he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you Upper Crust, and...

This is our "go to" pizza spot. They are fast, friendly, their pizza is delicious and doesn't make you feel awful/sick after eating it. They have vegan options which is amazing because our daughter has a dairy allergy. So we can all have dinner and she feels included. Their customer service is unrivaled. One time they were out of vegan cheese and the guy hopped in his car, drove to the Forest location, got the cheese and made the pizza without missing a beat! Plus they just got a customer rewards/loyalty program.

Best pizza in Lynchburg, hand down!

UPDATE: They have recently increased their prices significantly. What used to cost us around $35 for two large pizzas (dairy free and regular) now costs our family $45. We still love them, but we are going to have to visit them WAY less unless they run some promos...

Best pizza in town!!! Reheats well too. Their bbq chicken is *chef's kiss. Their red sauce cheese /Pepporni /mushroom delish. I'm someone who prefers more ~moderate sauce and never have to specify less with UC, they give the perfect amount! Their crust is some of my favorite - good crust end with some fluff, but the main build isn't quite thin nor thick, it's just right - has a good weight that holds toppings without sacrificing integrity. Toppings always taste fessh and cooked perfectly. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Good prices. Clean environment. Great location. I only wish they'd bring back fresh basil ans tomato, that was my go-to back in the day. Upper Crust is always a winner for flavor and I find myself craving them...
