Decided to stop for dinner at Vicinato, in Mayfair Hts., because my past dining experiences with the display of customer service and our love for Italian food.
My date and I decided tonight to stop by for dinner. We were seated by the host. We sat , never greeted by the waitress. We sat for a period of time and watched the waitress, chit chat with one party while they packed up their food. Waitress, then walked past my table to chit chat with another customer in the middle of the dining area, followed by this same waitress chit chatted with the party seated at table behind me. Waitress walked and pranced never acknowledging our presence never said she would be with me and my party. Never offered a glass of water. This was a lack of customer server not to mention the waitress racist games. I asked to speak with the Manager, manager was apologetic, however, it was in a nonchalant manner. What validated the behavior of the waitress another customer agreed with my complaint. To the waitress you missed out on a TIP that you would have thought you hit the jackpot and made...
Read moreI can honestly say this is the worst pasta we have ever had. I had chicken piccata, and all it was was a chicken breast flattened out and grilled floating in what seemed like canned lemon sauce. My chicken piccata at home is a million times better. Also, I had pasta with garlic and olive oil and the garlic was completely burnt, leaving a very very bitter taste, and the pasta was not seasoned with salt when it was cooked. It was so bland and bitter, it was awful. I asked for regular marinara sauce to put on it just to make it taste a little bit better. The waitress was amazing, super friendly. To bring me something else but I told her I would just put pasta sauce on it and eat it. Nothing is seasoned with salt. My husband had meatballs and they didn't taste that bad but they had literally no salt in them. And his gnocchi was completely overcooked and also unseasoned. Truly some of the worst Italian food I've ever had. And I don't usually say anything this negative about a restaurant but I just could not believe how bad...
Read moreHappened to choose this place by chance while visiting from out of state. Reminded us of a favorite Italian restaurant back home. Old school "Mama's" cookin' & atmosphere. Patty, our server was a real character. So nice & friendly & helpful. She made our experience just like meeting up with an old friend we hadn't seen in years. Our meal was delicious starting with BREAD, YUMMY BREAD. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Butter on the table if you wanted but the bread could stand alone. Really liked the fact that it wasn't garlic bread or highly seasoned. Perfect to help finish getting the last of your salad on the fork or mopping pasta sauce. Eggplant parmesan dish was so good & came with a salad, the parm, and a side of your choice pasta variety. So, so good. Also had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and salad. Everything was great. Felt so welcomed & relaxed. Will definitely be eating...
