Second Sole — Local services in Lyndhurst

This is my first time going into this shoe store. When I went in there it was because I have developed a condition called plantar fasciitis. This requires a specific type of Footwear along with special inserts to treat the condition. As soon as I told my salesperson that this was the reason that I had come into the store he immediately knew what to do. He actually measured my foot! It's been years since any shoe store had done that rather than just guess at what size shoe would fit my foot. In addition, he was extremely knowledgeable about my foot condition to the extent that he was able to explain it to me even better than my doctor did. When I was looking to buy these shoes I shopped around in terms of price. To my surprise this store was also the least expensive! I would highly recommend that people check out this store if you're looking for people who actually know what they're talking about if you're going to spend some money on a good...

I had never been to a running store to talk to someone about what type of tennis shoes would be best for my feet. I walk daily on a treadmill and was getting ready to take a trip that I knew was going to involve a lot of walking. I needed new shoes, so I thought I would try Second Sole. Peter was so incredibly helpful and friendly. He measured my foot, asked me about any concerns I had and we tried a handful of different shoes based on his picks and what I thought of each one. The shoe that we ended up on is so comfortable, was amazing for my trip and has resulted in walks on my treadmill that are free of shin pain for the first time I can remember. I was planning to buy a pair of Hokas simply based on their popularity, but I’m so glad I didn’t, as I learned from talking with Peter that they probably wouldn’t have been the best fit for my foot. This Second Sole location consistently offers excellent customer service. Just yesterday, myself, my brother, and my friend arrived at this location just 30 minutes before they closed, knowing that all three of us needed to purchase new running shoes (not our most considerate move lol). Emma was SO kind and helpful to all three of us! I was especially thankful for her help with my brother who has autism and likes to ask a lot of questions and seek plenty of assurance in the shoe purchasing process. Emma was incredibly patient with him, answering all his questions, giving him some options to try, all while giving me and my friend the help and advice we needed.
