Don’t get coffee here! This place is overpriced, low quality, and feels like a scam.
I’m not trying to be a coffee snob, but I can confidently say this coffee is bad. I don’t expect the best cup from a small stand at a transit center, but what I do expect is drinkable coffee at a fair price. Instead, they serve weak, burnt coffee and charge way too much for it. $5.30 for a bad 16oz caramel latte is not acceptable. I’ve had gas literal station coffee that was better than Ciao Caffé.
What really pushed me over the edge, though, was the portion size. They didn’t even fill the cup properly. I don’t expect it to be filled to the brim with coffee, I understand there is going to be foam and not every pour is perfect. When I picked it up, it already felt light. Sure enough, when I checked before taking a sip, the foam was sitting half an inch below the rim—and after clearing it, the actual coffee was an inch from the top. In reality, I paid for a 16oz latte and got closer to 12oz.
In short: bad coffee, overpriced, and short-poured. Don’t waste...
Read moreThe name and branding suggest a traditional Italian-style café (they even spell it “Caffé”), but it didn’t really feel authentically Italian to me. Coffee itself has a strange, off-putting taste. The espresso is flat and bitter, screaming cheap, low-quality beans. Just know going in that the vibe is more Iranian than Italian. But if you’re coming here specifically for a “true Italian café” feel, you might be disappointed.
On top of that, the drinks come in cheap cups with flimsy lids you'll be fighting to stay on, and most of the food/snacks are just gas station items marked up in price.
But what do you expect when it’s in an open-air bus station, with homeless people passed out on benches, shady characters roaming freely, and a recent shooting only reinforcing the “don’t linger here”...
Read moreWe need to add some business hours to this. I didn’t see any posted anywhere at location and what kind of a coffee shop is not open around 5 AM or 5:30 at the least. Bizarre. Give some leeway because they just opened up, but they need to start opening up earlier a lot of business to be had with bus and rail operators and...
