I have lived 2 blocks from this spot for over 4 years and I hate myself for just now trying it out. I really had no idea what to expect but it was Tuesday and I had been talking about tacos all day so I used my taco-lock homing device I call google and appeared inside La Cazuela practly seconds later. After being sat by Emmanuel I ordered 2 each of the Campechano and Pastor tacos. I was absolutely blown away. Presentation was very tasteful and well plated. The Campechano tacos were so diversely yet symbiotically flavored together with the concoction of hearty chorizo and suadero, they win the meal. I also ordered the carne asada Nachos; I don't think there could be a better entree for the cost. The cook on the Asada was perfect, crisp and bursting with flavor. I could barely get half way through them. I blame the margaritas with the little coronas in them upside down (I didn't know about the little bottles on the first one so I HAD to get a second... and possibly a third) . This spot is a must for any taco fan and the staff are great. You are the man Emmanuel. This is also a great family friendly environment. It had me missing my nieces and nephew.

On my second trip to La Cazuela I took a trip from Emmanuel and called yesterday about a tomahawk steak and everything was set for today. I could not have been more impressed with what they prepared for me. The explosion of the juices in that steak was oralgasmic. They pictures will show...

Edit: I do not eat at places that add tips to a 3 person meal. I get to decide what I want to tip! Flavors the last 3X we have gone down hill. The steak fajitas taste like unseasoned meat. So bland. The garlic shrimp potato dish was ok. But the amount of grease and red pepper slices on my plate was not ok. The 7 seafood dish last time tasted like it had been reheated and the crab just tasted bad. It was definitely not eat able. And adding a ridiculous tip to a 3 person meal when drinks were not filled and you had to be called to get things in a place that only had 2 other tables going, your attitude for taking our order and your response asking if u had a specific dessert as i didnt have the menu in front of me was not worthy of the tip u received.. you seem like your drinking while on the job and it's a hit or miss on how your feeling that day..

1st post 2022 :it has good flavors Not the greatest wait staff Or maybe understaffed ? They are nice enough just not much for drink refills or checking on things or going over the specials or even asking if you've seen the specials. I only asked about a dish I saw on thier FB.(guess it was on a board out front that she pointed towards.we thought she was pointing at a flyer on the window. Took a min. To figure out what she was...

Went this weekend with my family and was excited to see they had “tacos de trompo” , however not too excited when I was told I wasn’t going to be getting the whole experience of nopales and cebollitas because they where not ready! To me this shows they were not prepared on time. It was Sunday and did not have many people in.

Even though the food was really good, the experience was not great! And yes it seems like finding a restaurant that has both, good customer service and great food is like hitting the jackpot almost impossible.

Also be aware that they will charge “gratuities ” Included in your bill. I did the mistake of also leaving a tip at the table and noticed this while already gone.

I will give this restaurant another chance and hopefully can update my experience.

*update : went again yesterday 11/22 and the items we ordered from menu where not available. It’s unbelievable since they have a butcher /grocery Mexican store like 3 doors away. Also customer service was not great, I ordered 2 tacos with handmade tortilla and the server failed to tell me that tortilla size is burrito size !! Of course I only had 1 taco which were $10 each !

Food also tasted old, not fresh whatsoever. Won’t be going again and I do...

First the pro: The food was simple and delicious! Tacos were $3 each, too bad they were tiny. By contrast, the burritos were huge. I'm not sure what the reason for the huge range in portion size was, but if you're looking for value, steer clear of the tacos. If I come back- I'm ordering takeout. However, I probably won't go back. Seems a shame to not come back, but the lady in charge of our table was obviously upset by our patronage. Cons: Our waitress was cold, judgemental, and didn't know the what was in the drinks that were on the menu (" I don't know- fruity girl drinks"). Not everyone needs to be joyful, but she treated us like fools for not being able to read the handwritten, hastily-drawn, marker prices. We got blank stares and heavy sighs for asking questions. What about the drinks? I'd say pass. My friend and I both ordered a mojito, and they came out different colors! Mine was a muddy brown- check out the picture. Overall: disappointing. My compliments to the chef- you should find a place where your skills are combined with a team that matches your wonderful cooking.

100% one of the top restaurants I’ve been to recently. With prices going up everywhere, I’ve been seeing restaurants sacrifice quality and still charge outrageous prices. NOT HERE. Reasonably priced but the portions were HUGE. Depth of flavor developed overtime for my Suadero, handmade tortillas, actually flavorful spicy salsa options, big glass of horchata. And to top it off, the service and wait staff was attentive and fun. Will recommend this place to all my friends! We have leftovers for probably 2 more meals with the fajitas haha, 1000% worth the cost. Thank you for an awesome food experience!
