I was looking for a new massage therapist in the area since I moved too far from my regular place. I bought a Living Social for two massages at Lynnwood Family Chiropractic and Massage to give them a try. I have been getting massages for 11 years now and this was by far my worst experience ever. My first appointment, I showed up and they didnât have me in the books. I conveniently scheduled with them when they were switching systems and they didnât look through their old system to catch any appointments that may have been missed, but they were able to look when I was there and found that I was indeed scheduled. They were able to get someone to come in a half hour after I was scheduled so I did appreciate the effort. I was told Dr. Sim would be made aware of this but no compensation was made to me for the error. The masseuse was very friendly but the massage was terrible. It was as though someone was just gently touching my back and never worked on any muscles. It felt like a massage you could get from any person â with no expertise. I then had another appointment made, but decided to reschedule with a different masseuse hoping for a better experience. The day before my massage, the receptionist called to confirm my massage but it was with the original masseuse. I told her I scheduled with someone else and she told me that person wonât be back in the office until the following week. So they decided to move me to a different person without confirming with me that it was ok. I wasnât happy and had to reschedule for the following week. I then get a call two days before that massage and that ask if they can move my appointment out an hour. It wasnât ideal but I just want to get this massage so I agreed. I then get another call the day before my massage asking me if they can move me again to the following day. I told them no, that they keep moving me and I would like for when they make schedules with their clients they keep them. They kept my appointment and confirmed it was with the lady I requested. This is only my second appointment with this business and nothing has gone right. I show up the following day for my appointment and they front desk lady tells me she will check me in with the lady I didnât have an appointment with. I told her no, my massage is with someone else. She told âoh, well she doesnât do living socials.â I then proceeded to tell her that would have been good information to know when you booked me with her. After going back and forth, they basically only have one person that will do massages that are not living socials or on insurance and another person that will only take insurance. They book you with whoever they feel and donât call to tell you that something has changed. I expressed why I didnât like the first masseuse and none of that was taken into consideration. I didnât end up getting my massage or an apology. Needless to say, I wouldnât recommend this place nor will I...
Read moreOh, this clinicâs booking system deserves a round of applause. First, they give me the September 25th slot and after getting a referral. Fine, I get the referral. But because my RN had to fix one tiny email detail, they couldnât possibly hold the spot for me. Nope â instead, they hand it to someone else and push me out by three whole weeks. Absolutely brilliant.
And letâs talk about the process: you canât book without a referral, you canât hold the slot while waiting for some corrections when you see there is referral and paying out of pocket if the referral isnât ready? Oh no, that would make things way too easy. Instead, you get maximum back-and-forth and minimum flexibility, all served with a side of the ownerâs charm â rude, dismissive, and acting like they own the entire massage industry.
Honestly, if someone this rude in service industry can keep a business running with so many bookings, I can only imagine how much scope there is for nicer people to start a place like this. đ
And about my shiny new appointment on the 16th Oct near to due date? Yeah, Iâll be canceling that â maybe Iâll stop by just to say hi and thank them for being so sweet through this entire circus. Truly, a masterclass in how to make booking a massage feel like applying for a top-secret...
Read moreI have been going to Dr. John Sim for almost 3 months. In that time I have very much enjoyed the process. I came in originally with a bunch of lower back pain after having thrown out my back. Dr. Sim took X-Rays/scans to catalog a starting place for treatment, adjusted my back so my intense pain was relieved immediately, and I've been going back ever since for continuing care, as there's more to be done than just the initial fix.
Dr. Sim is happy to explain what he's doing and why, and you should expect a matter-of-fact interaction that gets to the heart of helping you heal in a timely fashion.
Don't forget to get on the schedule for continuing care appointments, Dr. Sim's beautiful and talented receptionist would be happy to get an easy-to-attend appointment set for you that still fits your busy schedule at a very reasonable price.
Remember: you're still healing AFTER you start to feel better! Continuing care makes...
