this was extremely disappointing. we ordered the kids quesadilla, kids fish, herb salmon, crab cakes, fries, tropical smoothie, Mai tai, macchiato, salted caramel cheese cake, classic basque cheese cake.. i would classify this and the olive garden equally.
*kids quesadilla was too cheesy. i didn’t know that could be possible but it is what it is.
*kids fish apparently is cooked differently then the adult fish? that’s what we were told. it was wet and slimy and pink. very plain and lacks flavors.
crab cakes were mushy not crunchy
the fries were just gross. and cold. i classify these worse then mcdonald’s.
herb salmon with lemon sauce. this wasn’t what i expected. way too much garnish so i had to remove it. the fish was cooked well. i’ve had better. the lemon sauce is not good. the mashed potatoes had zero flavor, they were pretty bad.
smoothie should have been described as flavored icy water. they also didn’t blend it well and it had large chunks of ice. we sent it back.
Mai tai, this was just sad. my whole glass was filled with ice and it was plain, meaning they don’t use grenadine or regular garnishes instead they give you a flower? my drink was gone in a couple sips because the ice took up the whole glass. waste of money. red robin makes better mai tais, so there’s that.
macchiato, just okay. basically was a cup filled to the top with ice and gone in a few sips. waste of money.
salted carmel cheese cake. this was actually gross. none of the 3 people that tried it liked it. the texture is weird. i wouldn’t say this tasted like a cheese cake it was very thick.
basque cheese cake, this wasn’t bad BUT it’s not a take home item. for some reason it did not taste good later on.
*the atmosphere is VERY loud. and to top that off there is also music playing over all that loudness 😕 they also dim the lights so much some people have a hard time reading the menu….
*service was great, i think our waitress was annoyed but we tipped her well so i’m sure she got over it quickly. 🤷🏽♀️
This place is overrated it has good reviews likely due to its name. If people actually like this place they need to get out more. We won't be back. $207 in food and left feeling like mcdonald’s would have been a better choice. I gathered the leftovers (2 boxes) to take home for the dog. yikes.
ADVICE TO OWNER: after posting my review I read through the negative reviews and my advice to you is to take those to heart. lots of unhappy customers with the quality of your food. that’s a RED FLAG. you should work on fixing these issues instead of a simple apology telling us to mention it in the restaurant… that’s why we have google reviews. we ARE telling you. you have had plenty of opportunity to fix it and you have not because I ate here tonight and NOTHING was good. $207 wasted on gross food. I suggest fix it or close down the restaurant and just serve cake. It is...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Plenty of open tables in dining area and patio. We were told 10-15 min wait for the patio. We provided name and phone number and then told it’ll be about 10-15 mins. After waiting about 25 mins, I went to check the time on my phone because it had definitely been more than 10-15 mins. I was sent a text message saying our table was ready that was sent 6 mins prior to me seeing the message. We immediately went to the front desk since we were right in the lobby and never left the whole time we were waiting. Never once was our party name called. We were not told we would receive a text when our table was ready. It was not busy enough to not be able to simply call out a party name. We also had our baby with us and were alternating going to the restroom for ourselves and to change our baby. Very unaccommodating for customers. Once we realized we had received the text 6mins prior, we walked to the front kiosk. We checked back in with the same person we left our info with. From there, someone by the name of Niko/Nico took over. I have never been treated so nasty by an employee in my entire life. I really hope this Niko is not an acting manager. Apparently Niko only waits 5 minutes and he considers that “courtesy”. Then gives your table away without even attempting to call out a name or call the phone number provided. Very lazy and showed no sympathy/remorse for his disgusting actions. Niko claimed he was “trying to help” but did literally nothing to actually help except run his mouth. I told him he did absolutely nothing to help and only made things worse. If Niko had not gotten involved, we probably would’ve actually stayed and gave our business. He couldn’t make eye contact with me or speak directly to me. He turned away every time he went to say something. Maybe Cheesecake Factory hires special needs managers now, not sure what his deal is. When Niko’s only solution was for us to wait an additional 20 mins for a table, we decided to leave. We already had a hungry baby and didn’t have anymore time to wait considering we had already waited about a half hour at this point. When leaving I could hear Niko saying rude things about us as we left. Such a professional employee and what a great advocate for your establishment. Last time we were at this location, it took forever to get a table, drinks, food and our bill. Gave it about 3 years before coming back in hopes something might’ve improved. Clearly nothing has. This location has only gone further downhill. It also seems like more and more of the people that do eat here, have a horrible experience or get food poisoning. Seems management likes to say they’ll reach out to resolve issues, but they never actually reach out or make the situation right. Great business practice, that’ll definitely keep for going for many...
Read moreThank you SO fricken much Alyssa for checking on our food and correcting it by bringing us the right plates, and also apologizing and offering to have the manager come out and say sorry for the mix up and making us wait. Hold on... You did that for the table NEXT to us after giving them what I believe was OUR food.
We understand it can be busy on Friday evenings. Which is why we made a reservation, just a party of 2. Simple. We got our water, bread, and appetizer. Things were fine up till this point. After that, everything went downhill.
2 other parties of 3 arrived after us, one on our left and one on our right. We placed our order earlier when we ordered our apps. Nearly an hour goes by after we've sat down and our food is nowhere in sight. You tell us you'll check on our food. We haven't complained or said anything at this point. We're just chatting as a normal couple does. It's a busy Friday, we wait patiently. Few minutes go by and our food has arrived...but goes to the table next to us. Of course one of the plates is wrong because it's OUR food. Instead of looking up and realizing our table is empty (app dish was taken away earlier), and thinking oh wrong table, you instead apologize to them for the mix up and offer to have the manager come by personally. Wow, great customer service.
So the party that got our food had ordered the dish I got, but the other persons dish (which was my wifes) was incorrect, duh. Instead of checking in with us, you proceed to get their plates out. Only THEN do you check in with us. But no apology, just another "i'll check on your guys food". Now I'm pissed.
Our food finally comes out and it's okay. We know the price of this place but at least hoped it would've tasted better. Our check comes, and still nothing was offered to make up for this horrendous experience, no sorry, no nothing. We were going to get dessert but changed our mind. Appetite was dead. We just wanted to get out of here.
On our way out we decided to look at the cheesecakes since, hey, that's your restaurants name. We were gonna order a couple slices but I have to give you props to your super attentive staff at the cheesecake counter. 1, 2, 3 people walk by and don't say a word to us when we're right there in front of the pinpad. 2 people with their backs turned but still looked and saw us standing there. Although the last girl at least gave us a smile then walked away without a word. That's the final sweet nail in the coffin.
We don't come here often because it's expensive. But after a long week, what better way to wrap it up with such terrific service. You would hope the food or service would make up for the cost. Nope. It did not. Definitely never coming back here even if someone else pays...
